I.Q. - A Score Guy

Meta Game???

A lot of players say they know what this is but I'm not so sure about that cuz all I've seen lately's Android 18 Blue decks are everywhere. Everyone hears this deck is amazing and start working on their own version of it or a different variant, eventually we have a tournament environment where everyone's playing the exact same deck and nobody's happy . We end up with a really boring environment but what do we do next?

IQ's Steps for Meta Gaming

(Meta Gaming for dummies)

Step 1

Stop asking Score to errata a card cuz ur deck loses to it >8) It doesn't work that way lil boyz and girlz, and please stop asking for Android 18's power tobe changed to when entering combat as the attacker. Believe it or not we actually knew what we were doing when we made her..... we just forgot how to stop her now o_0 j/k

Step 2

This is were the lessons start, just had to point out the fact that we're not going to ban a card for some silly reason, we actually think a lot before changing a card.... or flip a coin, whateva >_^ anywayzz the first step is to find the evil deck that's causing all the problems. It shouldn't be that hard to spot, especially when everyone you know is playing that darn deck. That's it!!!  That's step 2.... it's that simple, almost as easy as....... n/m, I shouldn't talk about that in public ~_~;

Step 3

Once you've found the "evil deck" you have to think.... I know it's hard and it causes your lil heads to hurt but it has to be done. You have to figure out how the evil deck workz, it's usually good to build the deck yourself and play with it for a lil while, just enough so you know how it workz or have an idea at least then put the deck down. You cannot play with that deck because.... well because *whispers* it's evil.  This deck is the reason that a great, well designed and amazing game *is trying to keep a straight face* is no longer fun to you. Do not fall a victim of temptation my children!!!  That deck.... it's what your parents warn you about, remember just... say.... no ^_^

Step.... what comes after 3? o_0

By now you're thinking how much of a weirdo I am but don't let that bother you, I am a pro and know what I'm talking about ^_< Once you know how the deck workz you have to find its weakness.... yup that's right you have to figure out what the deck is weak to. You can go back and look at the deck as much as you need to, but you have to find its weakness, no deck is unbeatable... remember that.  If the deck uses a lot of non-combat cards find a way to get rid of them, if the deck uses a lot of physical attacks figure out how to stop them, and finally if the deck doesn't appear to have a weakness, shoot it!!

I know some decks appear to be unstoppable but every deck needz to have a way to win.  Figure out how the deck tries to win and what's the best way to stop it, if a attack is unstoppable it doesn't mean it can't be dealt with. Your opponent has to be able to get that card in their hand and be able to play it *hint, hint* n_n

Step V

Once you've figured out a way to deal with the deck, you my friend have to get ready to go to your local or online tourney and take some kids to school '>.<'  Players will see how your deck it's beating the..... the s... the something (that was close) out of the "great" deck and will realize the deck isn't so great after all. The first thing they're gonna do is try to improve their deck to take you out, then you'll do the same and this will go back and forth for a lil while but if you can keep beating them they'll drop the deck and build something new. Until they make the wise decision of using a new deck you will be the all-mighty cool guy who keeps winning the tournys, just don't let your ego get too big cuz then you might end up like Brian >.< *shivers* that's just a scary thought... more lil Brians running around, I'll go hide under my rock now <8)
