Episode 66 - Piccolo The Super Namek

Review by: Samir Bashir

The episode begins with Piccolo telling the others that he will take care of Freiza by himself. Krillin and Gohan can’t believe what Piccolo is saying.

King Kai senses that Piccolo is stronger but he still thinks Piccolo can’t win. Tien then tells King Kai to have a little more faith in Piccolo’s abilities.

Meanwhile at the scene of the battle Gohan senses that Piccolo could win because he is approaching the battle against Freiza confidently. And from the rehabilitation room, Goku also realizes that Piccolo seems a lot stronger than before.

Freiza and Piccolo then begin the battle with many massive punches and kicks. Freiza then gets Piccolo’s hands tied up but it was no problem as Piccolo used his eye laser which caught Freiza off guard and then he launched a punch to Freiza knocking him in the water.  Freiza returns quickly and gains the advantage against the Super Namek by drilling him in the ground.  Freiza thought Piccolo was finished but that was not to be as Piccolo didn’t even have a scratch on him.

Then Vegeta (being the coward he is) tried to scurry away from the battlefield but Freiza caught him said a few bullying words and knocked him out and returned to face Piccolo.

As the battle resumed again Dende recognized that Piccolo was Nail. Piccolo then got hammered by Freiza knocking him out for a second but Piccolo remained in fighting mode. Krillin and Gohan are about to step in the battle when Piccolo tells them that he can take care of Freiza by himself.

Freiza then begins to attack but keeps missing. Nail then tells Freiza (through Piccolo) that the two Namekians are now joined so Freiza couldn’t win.  Freiza then realizes that Nail was the one he defeated so easily when he was looking for the password.

Freiza then launches a devastating blast at Piccolo but he deflected the blast right back at Freiza and gave him a blast of own. Freiza seemed finished but he still was in the match and not really injured. Will Piccolo be able to finish Freiza or will it be visa versa? Find out on the next Dragonball Z.

----

From the back of the box:

Piccolo The Super Namek - Gohan is seriously wounded in his grapple with Frieza. But a renewed Krillin jumps back in the fray and resumes his war on Frieza. Thanks to Krillin's efforts, Frieza is stalled long enough for Dende to restore Gohan's health. Finally Piccolo, now united with Nail, arrives to the battlefield! Will the combined efforts of Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo be enough to stop Frieza's reign of terror?
