Character Bios: Jimmy Kudo (Shin'ichi Kudo)
Jimmy is a world famous detective who is only in high school. Jimmy
loves soccer and he believes that it is key for him to master physical
skills in order to make it easier to catch the criminal. His idol is
Sherlock Holmes and he knows almost everything about Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle (the book’s author). Jimmy's parents have little impact on the
series thus far as they are rarely shown. (For reference, his father
is a mystery writer and his mother is an actress.)
His love for Rachel, his girlfriend, isn't outright stated but it is assumed by how
he acts. Jimmy is very big-headed and he talks for hours about
mysteries and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle which annoys Rachel but she
knows he really cares for her.
Since he has earned such a great reputation, Jimmy often thinks
of himself as the greatest teen sleuth in the world but Rachel is
always there to deflate his head. He gets in trouble when after a
case he sees two criminals performing a shady deal. The criminals
drug Jimmy thinking it will kill him but it just shrinks him to
the character that becomes Conan. (Other than episode 1, Jimmy
makes a real appearance in “ No Immunity for the Diplomat Part 2”
when a potion turns him into his real self for a short time.)
