Sentimental and kind, he is the younger brother of Edward Elric.
He is also very skilled at alchemy, but incapable of using it
without a transmutation circle. He lost his entire body with
the attempted resurrection of his mother, and currently inhabits
a suit of armor.
He follows his brother along in the search for a way to get his
body back to normal, but rather than concentrate on his own
body, Alphonse wishes for a way to get back Edward's arm and leg.
