Zealotpker's Deck Garage

12.14.04  Well, I'm sorry for like...the uber-bad review last week. I was testing out some HTML shiz, and having to write it all in myself somewhat detracted from the deck fixes and stuff. So, this time, I'm going to let Bill's HTML editor do it for me and just type out the review like everyone else.

And, to make up for last week, you guys get TWO (yes, TWO) deck fixes for your viewing pleasure. And today's specialty is...FIENDS!

Our first deck comes from gungravex1:

This Is a Deck I am thinking of Making.

Deck Name : MeFist The Infernal General and Legions!
Deck Count : 41 Cards

-Monsters (Tributes) (3)
{2}Mefist The Infernal General
{1}Dark Ruler Ha Des

-Monsters (Non-Tributes) (13)
{2}Don Zaloog
{3}Spirit Reaper
{3}Mystic Tomato
{2}Slate Warrior
{2}Night Assailant
{1}Tsukuyomi
Spells (17)
Staples
-Pot Of Greed
-Premature Burial
-Snatch Steal
-Mystical Space Typhoon
-Heavy Storm
-Change Of Heart
{3}Book Of Moon
{1}Swords Of Revealing Light
{2}Metamorphosis
{2}Mystic Plasma Zone
{1}Painful Choice
{1}The Forceful Sentry
{1}Confiscation

Traps (8)
{2}Dust Tornado
{1}Torrential Tribute
{1}Call Of The Haunted
{1}Ring Of Destruction
{3}Drop-Off

Fusions
{3}Dark Balter The Terrible
{3}Fiend Skull Dragon
{3}Ryu Senshi
{3}Thousand - Eyes Restrict

The Basis Of this Deck is almost Hand/Field Control

Mefist - The focus of this deck, I can combo him with book of the moon or tsukumoi to trample and discard their hand monsters.

Dark Ruler Ha Des - Strong and gains control over face-down monsters and helps Mefist to.

Zaloog - Helps disrupt their hands and deck

Spirit Reaper - Stall and helps disrupt their hand

Night Assailant - Defense + Helps destroy monsters that Mefist can't

Mystic Plasma Zone - Gives more power to Zaloog (1900) and Mefist (2300)

Metamorphosis - Morph Mefist Into Balter and etc.

Drop - Off - The Basic hand disruption

I want to try and add a power-up or 2 to help Mefist a little more.

Any help with this deck will be appreciated.  Be mindful of my spelling.

Well, I like the basis of the deck but I'm going to make a few suggestions:

-Dark Ruler Ha Des
+Vampire Lord

This will make sense in a little bit.

Now, let's get some more support in here, for the Dons and the Mephists:

-Tsukuyomi
+Magical Scientist

Magical Scientist is really too good not to use in here.

-2 Slate Warrior
+Breaker the Magical Warrior
+Tribe-Infecting Virus

Both just all around really good cards.

-2 Mystic Plasma Zone
+2 Creature Swap

This combos really well with Mystic Tomato, and is a great control card.

-2 Night Assailant
+2 Pyramid Turtle

Now we have more power in the deck. Fast searching for Vampire Lord, and Spirit Reapers, and more synergy with Creature Swap.

-Swords of Revealing Light
-Drop Off
+2 Rush Recklessly
-2 Metamorphosis
+2 Book of Life

Let's see how that works. That way you can pull lots of combat tricks to kill opposing creatures, and you also have recursion for your 5 zombies.

So your final deck is:

-Monsters (Tributes) (3)
{2}Mefist The Infernal General
{1}Vampire Lord

-Monsters (Non-Tributes) (13)
{2}Don Zaloog
{3}Spirit Reaper
{3}Mystic Tomato
{1}Tribe-Infecting Virus
{1}Breaker the Magical Warrior
{1}Magical Scientist
{2}Pyramid Turtle

Spells (18)
Staples
-Pot Of Greed
-Premature Burial
-Snatch Steal
-Mystical Space Typhoon
-Heavy Storm
-Change Of Heart
{3}Book Of Moon
{2}Rush Recklessly
{2}Creature Swap
{2}Book of Life
{1}Painful Choice
{1}The Forceful Sentry
{1}Confiscation

Traps (7)
{2}Dust Tornado
{1}Torrential Tribute
{1}Call Of The Haunted
{1}Ring Of Destruction
{2}Drop-Off

If you end up with 2 many Necrophears/Mephists, you can always drop a Mephist for something...

I rate the deck a 7.3/10 before, now a 9.1/10.

------

Our next deck comes from Sabah:

My deck is a Fiend Deck, it has Dark Necrofear and Gren Maju Da Eiza as my main monsters to try and get out. I fuel up the grave and out of play zone, and eliminate threats in S/T Zone mainly to be able to attack wiht high powerd Da Eiza. As you will see,  I do not have the majority of the high end Fiends, on a count of my luck being bad (except for Necrofear, I had luck that day to get her). I don't try to buy singles, but if I have to or you suggest, I will. I am trying to make this deck eventually a "Necrofear Da Eiza Archfiend Deck".
TOTAL: 43
Monsters 23:
Tribute:
1x Dark Necrofear
1x Summoned Skull
1x Mefisto the Infernal General
1x Reaper of the Cards
Non-Tribute:
2x Skull Knight #2
1x Gren Maju Da Eiza
1x La Jinn
1x Opticlops
1x Twin Headed Wolf
1x Theban Nightmare
1x Wall of Illusion
1x Possessed Dark Soul
1x winged Minion
1x Grave Protector
1x Goblin King
1x Kryuel
1x Sangan
1x Night Assailant
1x Protector of the Sanctuary
1x Desrook Archfiend
1x Darkbiship Archfiend
1x Pandemonium Watchbear
Magics 12:
1x Yami
1x Dark Energy
1x Painful Choice
1x Delinquent Duo
1x Card Destruction
1x Gravekeeper's Servant
1x Dark Door
1x Change of HEart
1x Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler
1x Soul Absorption
1x Soul Release
1x Giant Trunade
Traps 8:
1x Solemn Judgement
1x Fruits of Kozaky's Studies
1x Sould Demolition
1x Bark of Dark RUler
1x Fake Trap
1x Skull Lair
1x Fiend Comedian
1x Bubble Crash

Ok, well first of all you have WAY too many singles. I'm just going to start over and explain why I'm putting certain cards in:

2x Dark Necrophear

Three is too many, one is too few.
But we need Necrophears, so we're going to run two.

2x Dark Ruler Ha Des

Ha Des gives us negation, which is good.
And he also gives us nice Necrophear food.

2x Dark Jerroid

Play Dark Jerroid, he lowers attack.
With Mystic Tomato, he'll keep coming back.

3x Newdoria

Newdoria's nice, he has many good features
No tributes, dark, fiend, and he kills other creatures

3x Mystic Tomato

He's not a fiend, but he has an effect
You can get fiends from out of your deck

3x Gren Maju Da Eiza

He's the core of the deck, with not that good stats
But once it gets going, it'll be REALLY fat

1x Magical Scientist

Not a fiend, but still very nice
Fusions galore for a semi-high price

1x Tribe-Infecting Virus

To play this well your hand you must save
And dump the right fiends into your grave

3x Giant Germ

Three of these can be good 'Phear food
Once they're removed your opponent's screwed

========

Monsters: 20

1x Pot of Greed
1x Snatch Steal
1x Premature Burial
1x Heavy Storm
1x Change of Heart
1x Painful Choice

All of these cards are referred to as staples
Because in all decks to be used they are able

2x Dimension Fusion

Late in the game bring back all your creatures
That are removed from the duel
And smack your opponent's face
Then you can get first place
Out of...two people

1x Mirage of Nightmare

This one card can give you the means
To draw more cards and dump more fiends

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

Nuke a Mirage, or an opposing s/t
I've run out of words that end with "E"

2x Creature Swap

Use with Tomato or even Giant Germ
If your opponent sees this they will squirm

========

Spells: 13

1x Dust Tornado

Just MST's younger brother
Still it can be quite a bother

1x Torrential Tribute

If your opponent summons, tell them "Why bother?"
Flip this card over and kill all the monsters

1x Call of the Haunted

Bring back a creature and say "Just scoop"
Then your opponent will say "Oh poop"

2x Soul Demolition

Soul Demolition
Accomplishes the mission
Of removing from the game
And to your opponent doing the same

2x Skull Lair

I'm short on time
I have no more rhymes

=======

Traps: 7

Peace out,
