"Siefer" has sent me his Advanced format deck. He says:
"I'm not sure if it's competitive, but it's fun to play.
I'm trying to make it more competitive."
Here is the list (if you don't understand an
abbreviation, I have them listed out at the end):

 Monsters (18)

 -Thunder Dragons (3)
 -Airknight Parshath (2)
 -Freed the Brave Wanderer (2)
 -Shining Angel (3)
 -DDWL (3)
 -Tribe
 -Breaker the Magical Warrior
 -Magical Merchant/Blade Knight
 -Magical Scientist
 -Sinuster Serpent

 Spells (19)

 -Pot of Greed
 -Heavy Storm
 -MST
 -Snatch Steal
 -Change of Heart
 -Premature Burial
 -Painful Choice
 -Nobleman of Crossout (2)
 -Book of Moon (2)
 -Back to Square One (3)
 -Creature Swap (2)
 -Scapegoat (2)
 -RotA

 Traps (5)

 -Torrential
 -Sakuretsu (3)
 -CotH

I'll explain a few cards and why they're in my deck:

Thunder Dragon - Deck thinner, discard bait, and Freed
food all in one...what isn't there to like?

Airknight - Trample + Draw = good. He can also act as
						Freed food.

Serpent - Because I have too many cards that like
discarding, and I won't always have a light to dump.

Back to Square One - Make them waste their summon, waste
their draw, discard lights, AND get a shot at their lp?
Sounds too good to be true.

Magical Merchant - Speed and Freed food all in one, yay.

 ~Siefer

Well, Siefer, you've got a few problems that stand out
right off the bat. The first is the use of 3 Sakuretsu
Armor. 3 is just almost always overkill for that card.
I'd cut it down to 2, and play a Ring of Destruction
instead, as it is a better card most of the time
						anyways.

 -1 Sakuretsu Armor
 +1 Ring of Destruction

In addition, Blade Knight is definitely better than
Magical Merchant in this deck, as for the most part I'm
						seeing it as being aggressive.

You also need to add in a second Reinforcement of the
Army, as with 6 warriors 2 is really optimal.

 +1 RotA

This puts us at 43, so let's see what we can trim down:

MST and NoC I don't really think are needed here. And I
would run Compulsory Evacuation Device over Book of Moon
						(explained below).

 -MST
 -2 NoC
 -2 Book of Moon
 +2 Compulsory Evacuation Device

I like the Comp. Evac.s better than Book of Moon because
with only 13 non-tribute monsters, you want to keep them
alive. And Comp Evac will keep them alive when you chain
to their attempts to kill your creatures. You might also
consider My Body as a Shield instead. Although, if Book
of Moons are working for you, then feel free to keep
						them, just playtest my suggestions.

Let's also maybe drop the OTHER two Sakuretsus for a
card which I think has the potential to be broken in
this deck: Return from a Different Dimension.

 -2 Sakuretsu Armor
+2 Return from a Different Dimension (or you can try
						Dimension Fusion)

Finally, 3 Shining Angels are too many. Drop one for a
						second Blade Knight.

In fact, I've changed my mind. Ring of Destruction and
Return from a Different Dimension don't really mesh
well. Drop Ring for another Compulsory Evacuation
						device.

 -1 Ring of Destruction
 +1 Compulsory Evacuation Device

 So, altogether, the fixes are:

 -3 Sakuretsu Armor
 -2 Book of Moon
 -2 NoC
 -1 MST
 -1 Shining Angel

 +1 RotA
 +3 Compulsory Evacuation Device
+2 Return from a Different Dimension
 +1 Blade Knight

Your final deck should then look like:

 Siefer's Deck: 40 cards
 Monsters: 18

 [3] Thunder Dragon
 [2] Airknight Parshath
 [2] Freed the Brave Wanderer
 [2] Shining Angel
 [3] DDWL
 [1] Tribe-Infecting Virus
 [1] Breaker the Magical Warrior
 [2] Blade Knight
 [1] Magical Scientist
 [1] Sinister Serpent

 Spells: 15

 [1] Pot of Greed
 [1] Heavy Storm
 [1] Snatch
 [1] Change of Heart
 [1] Premature Burial
 [1] Painful Choice
 [3] Back to Square One
 [2] Creature Swap
 [2] Scapegoat
 [2] RotA

 Traps: 7

 [1] Torrential Tribute
[2] Return from a Different Dimension
 [3] Compulsory Evacuation Device
 [1] Call of the Haunted

I'll be honest, I've never seen a deck like this before,
much less seen one work, so it may be competitive, it
may not be. Only time will tell.

 Abbrevations used in this article:
 Tribe: Tribe-Infecting Virus

PS: I'm sorry for the short review this week, but I only
had one deck to choose from and this one was fairly
straightforward. Hopefully next week when I can choose a
deck that I can do a lot with it will be longer.

Send your decks for me to look at to zealotpker@yahoo.com.
Please indicate theme, format, and how competitive you
are looking for it to be (i.e. casual, local tourney,
Regional Qualifier, etc.). Also give me a name to refer
						to you as.
