Evil Blast, is absolute junk, it doesn't even Burn well, which is what it's supposed to do.  Maybe if the monster equipped couldn't attack, but worse yet, it increases the monsters attack by 500, and you are only dealing 500 damage during their Standby Phase...It's not anywhere near playable...

Evil Blast …

A simple enough trap card … which I like … And it’s really just average at best. You give your opponent’s monster a power boost, but they take 500 damage each standby phase in return. Obv this is for a Burn/Stall Deck, in which your opponent won’t be attacking much anyway, just steadily hemorrhaging life points. And it’s a nice idea, I suppose. There are so many vast options for burning these days, so Evil Blast isn’t the best one or most original, but it’s far from the worst either. It’s just a new option depending on what type of build u have in mind. So I’ll give it an average score. Yes – FYI – “3” is average. Not a ‘good’ score. Not a ‘bad’ score. Average.

Evil Blast, a burn like card that is good for stall/burn decks, there is a reason why you probably wont see this card played however. Nightmare Wheel is a nifty shinier trap card that doesn't require a monster to be special summoned to the opponents field to activate, and as long as its on the field the monster you select for its effect cannot attack or change its battle mode. Where as Evil Blast allows the equipped monster to attack and it even gives the monster 500 attack points. Nightmare Wheel does the job so much better, so if you are considering a stall burn deck, go with Nightmare Wheel.

Greg Evil Blast:

I had to read this effect 10 or so times just to make sure I wasn't missing something.  Nope.  I didn't.  This card is extremely terrible.  Use anything other than this card.  Play a Fusionist deck before you play any deck using this card.  Use Thousand Eyes Idol just for the style points before using this card.  Ok, I guess that's enough of being over-the-top.

Evil Blast: cool name, hot art…

I mean the flames.  It’s a bad pun.  Not – you know it’s a bad card when I go to this length with such a weak joke.  >_<

This is a Normal Trap but its effect has you Equip it to an opponent’s monster… making it vulnerable to removal.  It states it can only be activated when a monster is Special Summoned to your opponent’s side of the field and it can only Equip itself to that monster.  Something so vulnerable and restricted must have a killer effect.  It… boosts that monster's ATK by 500.

X_X

Oh, and it does 500 damage to your opponent during each of their Standby Phases.  At least it’s worded so that if you take control of the target monster, your opponent still takes the burn damage.  The thing is, I don’t know why you’d run this card even in such a deck: I’d rather make room for cards like Blast Sphere, Dimension Wall, Misfortune, and Zoma the Spirit.

This card is notable for one thing at least: its artwork wasn’t censored.  No, not that… the horns.  You’ll recall what happened to cards like Dark Ruler Ha Des: his horns get turned into… orbs. @_@

Artwork: 3/5 – There’s one two things I dislike about the illustration, and I docked it a point for that.

This card has a situational trigger with a terrible effect. It's difficult to go in-depth with set filler garbage like this.
