Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Koa'ki Meiru Ghoulungulate
#ANPR-EN082

During each of your End Phases, destroy this card unless you send 1 "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your hand to the Graveyard or reveal 1 Zombie-Type monster in your hand. If a "Koa'ki Meiru" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can remove from play 1 "Koa'ki Meiru" monster in your Graveyard instead.

Koa'ki Meiru Ghoulngulate, a Level 5, Earth attribute Zombie monster, another odd, yet very helpful piece to the Koa'ki Meiru family with 2500 attack, excellent for one tribute, and a decent enough 1700 defense.

Now, stop me if you have heard this before...destroy this card unless you send one "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" from your Hand or reveal one Zombie-type monster in your Hand. If a "Koa'ki Meiru" monster you control is destroyed by Battle or by a card effect, you can remove from play one "Koa'ki Meiru" monster in your Graveyard instead.

This is awesome protection for a Decktype that is just trying to be playable and competitive enough. Backed up by a great attack at 2500, your opponent is either going to force you to continually remove all your monsters, or rip this card to pieces.

Koa'ki Meiru Ghoulungulate ...

.... Almost there!!! .... They continue to shove these Koa'ki Meiru monsters down our throats ... sooner or later, they're just gonna be "good", right? RIGHT!?!?!? ... Well Ghoulungulate starts us off in the right direction, i suppose ... (I'm just gonna call him "G", cuz i'm not typing out his stupid name over and over again) G has great stats for a 1 tribute. 2500 ATK? - Awesome. And he's a Zombie type which is also well supported. However, unlike some of the other Koa'Ki Meiru monsters that can fit with other decks outside Koa'ki Meiru ... G's effect is specifically tied to Koa'ki Meirus. He protects them, and he needs to remove them from play in order to do so. Which means, due to his maintenance cost (all the Koa'ki Meiru's have the same type), that ur best case scenario to both support and make use of him - would be for a Koa'ki Meiru Zombie blend ... which will NEVER work. Ever. Don't believe me? - Try it yourself.

He's essentially a very good monster for a very bad deck type, so he'll never really ever realize his full potential.

Welcome to another segment of Card of the Day, today's card is another Koa'ki Meiru monster, with a tribute summon and high attack to boot. I dont know, just felt like saying random stuff. Koa'ki Meiru Ghoulungulate has the freakiest name, or at least the most random name ever, doesn't he? He's a new monster in the zombie theme with 2500 solid attack points and 1700 defense, unfortunately this card mainly sticks to the Koa'ki Meiru theme, however it can be used in other decks but still its effect only works for Koa'ki Meiru monsters. If a Koa'ki Meiru monster you control would be destroyed in battle or by a card effect, you can remove a Koa'ki Meiru monster in the grave from play instead, now too my knowledge its the only Zombie Koa'ki Meiru monster out there right now, if you tried putting this into a zombie deck, well I just dont think it'd work. Now, in a Zombie World variant, thats a possibility, especially since Ghoulungulate is searchable with Pyramid Turtle, which im fairly sure would make things interesting indeed. Its a cool looking card, but im not entirely sure how it'd affect zombie decks and etc.
