Lord British Space Fighter...why or what makes this fighter British?
Anyway, we have a Level 4 Light attributed Machine monster, with 1200 attack and 800 defense, miserable stats on a Level 4. Anyway, you can activate one of three effects one this card destroys a monster in Battle.

One...you can attack once again in a row. The Black Luster Soldier--Envoy of the Beginning ability. Yet, how much is he going to be destroying with 1200 attack?

Two...You can destroy one Set card on the Field...Magic, Monster, or Trap card. Certainly good, but I'm still wondering why our Level 4 friend has only 1200 attack? Perhaps too add balance to three actually decent effects.

Three...Special Summon one "Multi Token" who is a Light Machine of Level 4 with 1200 attack and defense, which is only good because there is no "you can't use the token for a tribute summon" restriction on it.

It does good things, but has too low an attack score I say.

Lord British Space Fighter …

What an interesting little card this is … 1st off – cool name. Not awesome. Just fun for some reason.
Ok – next up. It’s stats … Pretty shallow. 4 stars with only 1200 ATK? – that’s pretty lame. But that’s really this card’s ONLY downside, as u will see shortly …

It is Light. Awesome. And it is a machine, so it is very well supported. 800 DEF? … Meh. Who really cares? … So then the effects … Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Yes, 3 “awesomes” for 3 effects. The 1st allows u to attack once again in a row (mind u, u only get these effects if LBSF destroys a monster in battle). This is great especially if it is called to knock off Fluff Tokens or Nimble Momongas or whatever. Or if u just killed something and now want to dish out a direct attack. Nothing ever wrong with being able to attack twice. The 2nd effect – destroying 1 set card. Double awesome. Whether it’s an opponent’s card hiding in facedown defense mode or a spell or trap that has yet to be sprung – this is great. And then the 3rd effect – special summon a Multi Token which is actually a little stronger than Lord British itself! (higher defense). At first I wondered the difference really between the 1st and the 3rd effect, and what would make me choose 1 over the other, as whether I want to attack again in a row or special summon a Multi Token – I am still swinging with another 1200 ATK either way, right? … Well you can destroy a monster on your OPPONENT’s turn sometimes. They can run head first into a shrink or an Honest, and suddenly find themselves served by Lord British. In which case, it’s not your turn to attack, so you take the Multi Token. Or you want to increase field presence. Or you need something to synchro or tribute later. However, on your own turn – your field may be full, Lord British may already be powered up with a Limiter Removal, or for your own reasons u do not want to summon anymore – in which case – u take the 1st effect and chose to swing again.

There are a variety of uses and tactics for Lord British, with the only snafu being that its only got 1200 ATK. This means the list on monsters that it will easily destroy in battle is relatively low … But the good news is, like I said – it has lots of support. A lot of ways to help LBSF kill monsters that would seem stronger. Plus at 1200, its invisible to a Bottomless Trap Hole and its searchable by almost any means u like.

It’s a good and very fun card, but needs its own well crafted deck to work properly.

Really weird name on this card folks, and another monster from the Victory Viper series, or at least thats what I call it cause they all have 1200 attack and are light attributed, they all seem to be a theme but thats my opinion. Anyways, as I just said they're all light attributed monsters. This means that Honest is an option. Honest works amazingly well with Victory Viper XX03 since you get a token equal to the attack and defense of Victory Viper XX03 when it destroys a monster in battle. All of the monsters in this series have some pretty unique effects. The one that Space Fighter has that you'd want to use is to attack again once in a row. Because if you juice it up with 1-3 copies of Honest, its attack will be way high and can do some heavy damage off of another attack unless your opponent only has defense monsters. But there is a reason why this card is broken. You see it doesn't state that you can only activate its effect once a turn. If you destroy another monster in battle you can attack again, destroy a set card or special summon a Multi Token. This means it can act as an Asura Priest after its jacked up with Honest(s). Its easily searchable with Shining Angel too, so I have to say this is an under rated card. Something could actually be built around Victory Viper and this card at some point.

For today’s card of the day, I will be reviewing Lord British Space Fighter, from the gradius series we all love. He isn’t all that great, but as always, you can abuse him if you want. You won’t really see him being splashed into any top tier decks, but in his own type of deck he can be a big problem. You can easily OTK with him if you run him with Honest. You can attack a monster, drop 2 Honest and then for your next attack activate limiter removal for game. His other two effects are good but not great, you can ether get a token or destroy a set card, but neither of which is gonna help you out as much as the first option. Its not a great card, not really a good card, just an alright card.

Lord British Space Fighter:

The name of this card is just hilarious to me.  He's the wussy kid on the playground of yugioh cards.  I really just do not understand why they keep making these variants of gradius.  What an absolute waste of cards.  If you were a huge fan of the gradius video game or just really think space planes are super-keen; then knock yourself out with such gems as Lord British Space Fighter, Falchion Beta, Victory Viper XX03, and of course Gradius.  All are light machines so at least you can use honest and limiter removal, but those aren't enough to make this anything but a fun deck.  Try talking like star-scream the whole time.  Maybe that will freak your opponent out and they will misplay... or just punch you in the face.  Either way, a loss will be inevitable with this deck.
