Dark Paladin
Friday

Fire...this may win the award for Yugioh Trap (or even card) with the least amount of text ever. Simply Discard two cards...it can help speed along most any Deck. Fire is actually a decent Hand dump card.

It speed along Dark Armed Dragon, and your other Dark asseted decks from this set. It works other places too, especially if, which you usually do, need something to more quickly get to your Graveyard.

Ratings:

3/5 all around

Good for some Decks, worthless for others.

Well the most obvious use of this card is with Dark World. You can also use it to just dump cards from your hand, like Destiny Heroes and others, but it is a minus one. I would rather use Destiny Draw, Lightning Vortex or other cards over this, it can be amazing for dark world, and I can't wait to see what people do with it, but I can honestly say that it is not quite up to par. Dark World Dealings, Dark World Lightning, and Card Destruction are all better, so I am going to give this a bad rating just because I can't see many good combos to justify it.

[Trap Card]
Discard 2 cards.

This card isn't that bad if The Cheerful Coffin wasn't out. With this you have to discard two cards. With Coffin you can choose up to three. Unlike Coffin you would have to set this and wait to use it. These type of cards usually only work with Dark World. We have not seen many Dark World Decks for quite a while, but they are still good. Dark World was extremely hurt when Graceful Charity was banned. This card isn't worth running, because Cheerful Coffin would see play over this card. If you have a Dark world monster in you're and an important spell, trap, or monster. Then you will discard that important card just to get off the Dark World’s Effect of the card you discarded. This card tells us to "Discard 2 cards." Meaning you can't discard just one. You can't activate it, if you only have one. You can only get the full use out of it when you have two Dark World monsters in your hand. While Cheerful Coffin can discard up to 3.

So go back to the previous situation and say that set Fine was a Coffin instead. Now you can just discard the Dark World card and get his effect off rather than discarding an important card. Dark World isn't about advantage and is all about Swarm, but there are so many deck's in this format that can put 5 monsters on the field without losing card advantage and that is why Dark World has not seen any play. When the format slows down or when Graceful Charity is ever come back, Dark World may get a boost, but nothing that amazing unless the format really slows down. You may see this card teched in Dark World or even used in 2 or 3, because the person has chosen to use a lot of dark world cards. But, it isn't as consistent as Cheerful Coffin. Unless someone can make it easy to keep discarding without the worry of traps, spells, and etc. Then he can play all these cards that discard, but it won't help in many situations. So if you run Dark World. Only run Cheerful Coffin if you need to and only use Fine if you can support it.

Advanced- 1/5- This card is situational and there are better cards like Cheerful Coffin. Dark world is also not very strong this format.

Traditional- 1/5- Not good here.
