Archfiend General:

My statements about E-Hero Captain Gold apply here, but to a slightly lesser extent.

There is a use in Pandemonium, as Mazera Deville turbo decks can force a triple discard, which is great when no one's playing Dark World.  However, his use as an actual monster, instead of just a way to get to Pandemonium, is rather limited.

3 Pandemonium, some Terraforming, some of this guy, the Warrior of Zera needed to tribute and 2 Reinforcement of the Army to search it, and Mazera Deville can set up for major sack hands, so I won't say the deck is bad.  But usually this is just another way to further that combo, rather than a monster I'd rely on for the deck.

Archfiend General, another discard me to fetch my Field Magic card monsters from Force of the Breaker, who happens to have one of the sickest pictures for an Archfiend...ever.

I like this card, a lot, even though I hate Archfiends. Hypocritical as that may sound, this is a good card. It's a Dark monster who is Level 4 with 2100 attack and 800 defense. It can't exist on the Field without Pandemonium, but you can fetch it by sending this card to your Graveyard.

If you have both on the Field, you have a 2600 attack Level 4 Archfiend at your disposal. Awesome! Not much else to say, I'd use it if you used Archfiends.

Ratings:

4/5 Archfiends

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

A great monster addition to an underdeveloped fiend theme. I recently got three of these guys and look forward to hearing some archfiend deck ideas.

You can discard this card to the Graveyard to add 1 "Pandemonium" from your Deck to your hand. If this card is on the field but "Pandemonium" is not on the field, destroy this card.

And, with that said, you get the same benefits and risks of playing this card in an archfiend deck as you would E-hero Captain Gold in an E-hero deck, except Archfiend decks aren’t as good as E-hero currently.

If you want more pros/cons of this card, check on the E-hero captain gold review. They are basically identical.

To end off the week we look at a card that is made for one type of deck.

An Archfiend without an LP cost!!!!!!! What were they thinking!!!!!! Sorry. That is only the first area in which the differences from the main grouping of Archfiends are noticeable. Being a solid 2100 4star is great, and thankfully it is self-restricting in being unable to be used outside of the archetype. Adding to this the ability to be one of the new Terraforming monsters really adds a nice benefit to the deck at no cost, while freeing you from the temptation to mainboard that card.

Aside from the lack of a self-protecting dice effect, this card is one of the better ones to sport the Archfiend name. Some may look at it and be saddened by the fact that it is a vanilla once on the field, but then again a lv4 2100 more than makes up for that, especially considering the archetype needs as much as it can get.
I personally see no reason to not use him in the archfiend deck. Outside of it, he’s useless.

2100/800

Archfiends get a huge boost here, First they had Terrorking Archfiend, but his 2000 ATK wasn't much of anything and now being able to search out Pandemonium and not having to pay for effects is sweet (because of Pandemonium). The 2100 of this card makes it really important to Archfiend decks that not only does it get over those huge DEF monsters like Gravekeeper's Spy but also can go toe to toe with Cyber Dragon. Cyber Dragon is showing up in almost every deck and having a monster answer to it for a specific decktype is nice. Though this card is just like many of the others, like Elemental Hero Captain Gold is that, the drawback is that if you don't have the field card, this one being Pandemonium, it gets destroyed. Archfiends get a boost, but nothing else here does, if you are a dedicated person to Archfiends rejoice! If not, it's just another card sitting around.

Traditional: 1.5/5 Dark monster, and Traditional loves Dark monsters.
Advanced: 2/5 Well Archfiends needed a boost, but still need more help to be really competitive.

Turkeyspit Archfiend General

When UDE announced that Force of the Breaker would contain "legacy support" for older themes, many duelists, myself included, were very excited. So far we have reviewed Harpie Queen and Gravekeeper's Commandant, both very solid additions to older themes. Today's card is kind of on the fence as far as utility goes, but that has more to do with the theme it supports.

I have never been a fan of Archfiends. I saw it as clumsily designed theme, with tons of lackluster support cards. While Archfiend General helps to search out Pandemonium, I don't really see that as making the overall Archfiend theme more playable.

Opinions do vary though, as I've heard from many duelists that Archfiends are in fact playable, and for them, this card is extremely helpful.

----------------------------------
Traditional:
1/5 - It's DARK..but that's about it.

Advanced:
2/5 - Obviously only good in an Archfiend deck, but even then, I doubt it will make the theme more competitive. Still, it's not completely useless.

Card Art:
2/5 - .... no idea
