Dark Paladin

"I'll take Restricted E-Heroes for $1000, Alex" Yes, we have TWO Restricted E-Heroes on the new Ban List, who ever would have thought that?

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select and activate 1 of these effects:
●Destroy Spell or Trap Cards on the field up to the number of "Elemental Hero" and "Destiny Hero" you control (not counting this card).
●Select and add 1 "Elemental Hero" or "Destiny Hero" monster from your Deck to your hand.

First of all, E-Hero players finally get a decent beatstick. 1800 attack is quite solid, but it has a paltry and miserable 300 defense.
This guy was Restricted for a reason folks. Sadly, the Restriction prevents splashability of this card.

If you had three of these guys, and two were in the Graveyard, that would be two Magic and/or Trap cards you could destroy, and apparently the effect was too powerful to use in multiples.

So, if you destroy one card, he is a one for one. Destroy two, you're at a plus one. Three puts your at a plus two. Four puts you at a plus three. Five would put you at a plus five. Odds are you won't be destroying five cards, but you never know.

Or, if you have no Magic or Trap cards to destroy, you can add an E-Hero or D-Hero monster from your Deck to your Hand, so he can replenish your resources as well. If you are playing either deck, this card is for you.

Could you use it in your normal non E-Hero/D-Hero deck? Possibly. You could throw in two or three Wildheart, which has been popping up out of the E-Hero deck and hope for the best, but it's up to you.

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
Bob Doily E-hero stratos

An e-hero that doesn’t suck…… wow that was hard to admit. But like Wildheart, Stratos is actually a playable card in non-E-hero decks. Its second effect functions like a gadget but offering much more options. The first effect offers the potential to get up to a Heavy Storm, but will most likely equate to a Breaker

The restriction has really hurt this guy, with only one allowed the chain drawing of him has been killed. That really hurts because you will most likely see only one of his effects in a game. Him being bounced is unlikely, and there are usually better options to resurrect. He will essentially be used in warrior-toolbox and ratbox with wildheart.

Elemental Hero Stratos

5/5

A perfect card in my opinion. I was so upset to see it restricted to one before I could abuse three:)

It offers versatility, allows for field presence, and can pay for itself upon summon if chosen to. We finally get E-Hero's worth playing and then they get restricted:(

YGOmaster
If you went on Metagame.com, and clicked on the most recent Shonen Jump, these things were everywhere. They work great with Destiny and Elemental Heroes (like the Diamond Dude Turbos we saw in St. Louis), and in a ton of other decks. They are strong beaters, and fit in almost every deck (in threes of course). Sadly, their reign is pretty much over, as they will be Limited on the next Banned List. Tears.

Turkeyspit Elemental Hero Stratos

One of the most powerful, versatile and broken 4 star monsters in the game of Yugimonz, and it's an Elemental Hero. Who would have thunk it?

I'm very impressed with Konami/UDE for getting Stratos (the artist formally known as Elemental Hero Airman) to the TCG so quickly after it's OCG debut.

Straight up: this card is amazing, and if we could run 3 of them in our deck, they would be an instant staple. Fortunately for us though, the OCG has shown what 3x Stratos can do to a Metagame, and the recent SJC St. Louis displayed the same, with 3x Stratos being the backbone of many a Destiny Hero deck. Based on that knowledge, Stratos was wisely Restricted to 1 per deck as of March 1, 2007.

Having said that though, he is still a very good card to run:

- 1x Stratos + 2-3x Wildheart will be a nice compliment to any Aggro based deck, and will make Warrior Toolbox even more effective.
- being able to search out specific Destiny Heros will still provide support for Diamond Dude / Dasher decks.
- Elemental Hero Decks now have yet ANOTHER tutor to search out a specific Hero monster to fuse.

I've wanted Stratos ever since he was introduced in the OCG. Now, about Elemental Hero Ocean... ^_^

----------------------------------

Traditional:

1/5 - there are more broken monsters than this to play in Traditional, and he isn't LIGHT or DARK, so...

Advanced:

4.5/5 - I can't give him 5/5 as there are some decks that just will not benefit from this guy. BUT, if your deck contains 'Reinforcement of the Army' and is an Aggro style deck, you would be foolish to not include the lone Stratos with either 2 or 3 Wildhearts.

Well, it’s Wednesday.  The middle of the week, another long week!  But, today we review a card that hasn’t been review before unlike Monday and Tuesday’s cards.

JUMP-EN012

ELEMENTAL HERO STRATOS

LV4

ATK/1800 DEF/300

[Warrior/Effect]

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select and activate 1 of these effects:

●Destroy Spell or Trap Cards on the field up to the number of "Elemental Hero" and "Destiny Hero" you control (not counting this card).

●Select and add 1 "Elemental Hero" or "Destiny Hero" monster from your Deck to your hand.

1800 for a 4 star is pretty good. In the upcoming format, with Breaker gone, this can take out mostly anything, except for Cyber Dragon and Monarchs.  300 defense kind of sucks……Enemy Controller anyone?  It’s also a Warrior so it can be searched by Reinforcement of the Army, or E-Emergency Call as it is an E-hero, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get this out.

Onto the effect, pretty simply.  GREAT in an E-hero or D-hero deck.  When it gets summoned, you can either add an E-hero or D-hero from your deck to your hand, so it’s a +1.  Not bad. This could give you that monster you need to bring out your Flare Wingman!!!!  Or when Stratos is summoned, it can destroy a number of spell/trap(s) depending on how many e-heroes/d-heroes you have on the field, so it’s a potential of a +4.

So, it’s got versatility, and gives e-heroes and d-heroes a much needed boost.  But, it is going to be limited to one, thus shooting it down before it even got airborne.  But even at one, it’s still absolutely worth running in these decks.

Elemental Hero Stratos

Who doesn’t love Elemental Hero Stratos right now? He’s an excellent card and deserved every bit of play he got at the St. Louis SJC. Diamond Dude Turbo is a stupid good deck.

He can search Elemental Heros or Destiny Heros; that’s good. What searcher in the game has that kind of versatility? Granted not ALL of the E-Hero/D-Hero monsters are any good, he’s still a superior searcher in terms of reliability. He relies on himself and that’s it. On top of that, he’s a decent beatstick.

Last Word: Too bad he’s getting restricted to 1, but it needed to happen. If St. Louis was any indication of what the format was going to be like with Stratos at 3 then a lot of players were going to be pretty upset.
