ExMinion OfDarkness
Bazoo the Soul-Eater

This guy's on a decline, even with Return decks on the rise, for some reason.

I guess people are finally figuring out what we've known about other aspects of the game for some time; if a monster's effect only boosts a monster's ATK points and doesn't actually generate any card advantage, then it's not worth using up a card from the hand for. I guess that extends to the Graveyard as well.

Bazoo is good, but not good enough. 2500 ATK is great for a 4-star, even if only for a turn, as it can take down an opposing Jinzo or Monarch that the opponent had to Tribute for. People are preferring Strike Ninja (whose removal will usually generate a +1 advantage) and Chaos Sorcerer (who will almost ALWAYS get a +1) when summoned at the right time as opposed to removing for removing's sake just to use Return from the Different Dimension.

Stick with the better cards.

Dark Paladin
Bazoo the Soul Eater is supposed to represent Beast...not because Beast eats souls (though he very well may, don't underestimate Kelsey
Grammer) but because the picture is a giant bluish Beast type creature.

On the actual card, Bazoo is a very good card. Even after the errata.
By removing up to three monster cards from your Graveyard during your turn, Bazoo gains 300 attack points for each removed monster until the End Phase of your opponent's turn.

This, is quite good. In short, you get a potential 2500 4 star monster and you can continue to use it as long as you have the necessary fuel in the Graveyard. Or, remove but one for 1900 or two for 2200.

A great card for pure Beatdown if you feel like using it, and a neat tech card as well, although he is showing up a little more often since April 1st. Also a great card in Retrun From the Different Dimension/Dimension Fusion decks. Possibly even Strike Ninja/Dark Magician of Chaos decks.

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Ryoga
Bazoo the Soul Eater:
This makes even less sence. Maybe if I read more comics...

Well, Bazoo is a rather nice card. He is a vital part of Return decks and a decent comapanion to an Earth deck, which will probably be running Return anyway.
For other decks, if you need to remove monsters from play for some reason, or just want a massive massive beatstick, here's your monkey.

Traditional: 3/5
Advanced: 4/5
X-Men: 3/5 (sort of like Beast, but a lack of glasses)

Share and enjoy,
Ryoga
