Dark Ruler Ha Des

This card is really amazing in Fiend decks. Although you can't fetch it with Witch of The Black Forest, it has 50 more attack than Jinzo. Bazoo and Summoned Skull still kills it though. But if you can get this out and maybe a couple other Fiends, your opponent would be screwed if he plays too many Flip Effects as all of them would be negated. So, no Cyber Jar for him (probably one of the most scariest Monsters you can face if you have a lot Monsters out). In fact, your opponent can't even use his Witch to fetch for Bazoo as her effect is also negated. If you have Imperial Order out, all you have to really worry about is Mirror Force. Even if you don't have too many Fiend Monsters, you can still use Ha Des to clear your opponent's Face Down Monsters while your other Monsters deal the damage once the field is clear. It's a shame you can't Monster Reborn it, but other than that, this card is really good. You might want to consider Sidedecking this guy if your opponent relies a lot on Flip Effects (like Deck Destruction). Fun card. =)

wartortle32 Dark Ruler Ha Des

This monster negates all effects of monsters destroyed by your fiend monsters. But this monster cant be summoned from your grave. This is the monster version of royal command. But not only does it negate flip effects, it negates all effects so the opponent cant even use witch of the black forest or sangan. It obviously works best in a Fiend deck. If you're already using a Dark Necrofear deck, then you might as well toss this in as it works great with DN.

I give it a 4/5 in fiend decks. The not being able to be special summoned from the grave is a downside, but at least that means the opponent cant revive him either.

NickWhiz1 Wednesday - Dark Ruler Ha Des

First off, I applaud Konami for having the gonads to keep the name Hades intact on this card. I say that because the soccer moms are probably going to swarm on them like a deck with 40 Nimble Momongas. To said soccer moms: HADES IS A FIGURE IN MYTHOLOGY, SO WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT???!!! Watch Justice League, because one of the bad guys they have to fight is (guess who) Hades =/

Wow, now isn't this an interesting card! Not only does it beat Jinzo in a battle, but it negates the effect of ANY monster it or any other of your Fiends destroys. Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of good fiends. We have Ha Des, Summoned Skull, La Jinn, and the upcoming Red Cyclops (4/1800/1700). Oh, big whoopie =/ If there was a 1900 fiend, then this card would be dangerous.

I suppose this card can stand alone as a flip effect counterer, as it just laughs when it destroys Magician of Faith, Penguin Solider, Cyber Jar, and even non-flip effect monsters like Witch, Sangan, and Wall of Illusion. 2450 is second only to Summoned Skull in the one-tribute department.

The only thing that brings this guy down is his second effect. That's what makes this card truly vulnerable, and quite possibly why it isn't restricted. Once it hits the Graveyard, it's not coming back unless you use Fiber Jar (who does that sound like, Yata maybe?) Other than that, this is a pretty potent card that may see a decent amount of play.

Score: 3.0
