Type - Water / 4 / 1400 / 1200

ExMinion OfDarkness Tuesday:
Fenrir

This card would be how the people who whine about originality would want to balance Yata. You have to remove TWO monsters on the field to get this into play, and you have to KILL something in order to get the Yata effect, AND it's only 1400.

They overweakened this card in fear of creating another Yata. You won't be summoning this much, even in a water-based Deck...you CAN get the cards into the graveyard, but it will most likely not be worth it. If you're playing a Water deck, you're probably playing The Legendary Fisherman and Levia-Dragon, along with Gaggagio, possibly Giga Gaggagio...those monsters that can be 4-star 2600 ATKers when A Legendary Ocean is out.

As a general guideline, if you're removing 2 monsters from the GY to summon something, it better have a kick-ass effect. *coughCEDcoughBLScough*

2.5/5 Water Deck, 1/5 all else
Tranorix Tuesday: Fenrir

This monster is pretty interesting. It, like Inferno, requires you to remove monsters from your Graveyard to summon it. The downside here is that you must remove TWO monsters instead of one. The upside is that they don't have to be FIRE...

The most commonly played WATER monsters are Sinister Serpent and Tribe-Infecting Virus; the chances they'll both be in your Graveyard at once aren't terrible, but you probably won't want to remove Serpent at all...because of this I would recommend Fenrir in a Water deck, not typical tournament Chaos-Control-Beatdown.

The effect is nice: Basically, Fenrir has a built-in Time Seal. He also must destroy a monster, but with slightly higher ATK than Inferno (not much higher, mind you) it's more likely to happen. He gets a boost from A Legendary Ocean, raising his ATK to a moderate 1600; and of course you can use equips to boost him further.

I can't recall ever seeing a Water-Control deck, but if you want to build one, Fenrir is a monster you will certainly want to include.

Typical tournament deck: 1.5/5
Water-Control deck: 4/5
OVERALL RATING: 2.8/5
