Magic Cylinder

This was a big surprise. I don't think anyone predicted that Cylinder would be released in LON. Honestly, LON was a pretty crappy set when I first looked at Edo's Translations. I mean, the only good cards I see that would benefit beatdown then were just Torrential Tribute and Kycoo The Ghost Destroyer. I didn't plan on getting too many LON packs...

Then a bomb was landed on us. Both Gemini Elf and Magic Cylinder were the Secret Rares! It was a fun time to be online that day. =)

Anyway, back to the review. Now, Cylinder is a good card, but it's definitely NOT a Staple! First of all, the Monster stays on the field and you can only activate if your opponent attacks. It's simply not as good Bell of Destruction (JPN. Destruction Ring) in most cases. Now, the fact that I like about this card is because it tends to weaken Suicide Beatdown decks. You know, the ones that run stuff like Dark Elf and Jirai Gumos in order to abuse Megamorph? Unless they have a Jinzo out, they would probably be a lot more cautious when attacking you, giving you more time to make a comeback. Think about it. A Dark Elf with a Megamorph. Your opponent pays 1000LP to attack. You activate Cylinder and your opponent takes a grand total of 5000 damage! That's a lot. This is also an important counter to United We Stand, which is probably the BEST Power-Up there is. With Cylinder out, I think Jinzo becomes a MUST in all decks. Either that or you better run plenty of Magic/Trap Removals.

If you're playing a Burner, you definitely need this card. It's good in pretty much any other decks and will no doubt be really popular.

Wednesday - Magic Cylinder

I'll just keep this one short and say that this card should be in EVERY deck.  It's one of the most broken cards in the game, up there with Mirror Force and Raigeki.  Those silly GAFs equipped with Megamorph give their user 4600 damage and, well, sucks to be them.  Get one of this card, as it's so powerful that's all you need.  It's the easier of the two Secret Rares to find (it's in Retail boxes), and that kind of sucks, because you only need 1 of these and probably at least 2 Geminis.  Oh well.

Score: 5.0 (expect this on the restricted list REALLY quickly, and yes, this card deserves the term staple)
SomeGuy Wednesday - Magic Cylinder

Can anyone say... Staple?

Probably the second best trap in the game, after Mirror Force. This card can single handedly win you a game you should have lost. It makes those Suicide Beatdown decks pray they don't have to face it.  Without a doubt it's going to be restricted to one.

Not much else to say about it besides the fact that EVERY deck should use it. Yes, it's THAT good. The only time you will regret drawing it is if Jinzo is on the field. But the same goes for every other Trap card.

Rating: 4.999/5

The only reason why it didn't receive a perfect score is because if your opponent has a large army of attacking Monsters, you may lose the game regardless.

MAGIC CYLINDER

Don't know why people think so highly of this card, yes it's good for burn but n your normal beatdown deck I prefer to have board control, and as everybody knows... board control = removal. The only reason I might like this card is because it's gona be some really, really good trade bait. ">,<'
