Mask of Restrict

This card is mainly for sidedeck purposes only. Most people simply play only one Tribute Monster (Jinzo) in their deck. If you plan on countering Jinzo with this card, simply use some other cards instead. A lot of people are running Cannon Soldier now thanks to Scapegoat. If your opponent makes a deck that purposely use that combo (maybe with Amazon Archer), you could definitely Sidedeck a couple of Mask of Restricts to slow them down. Personally though, I don't really see this card being that useful against most decks. It's pretty good against rogue decks though.

Hey, I've seen this before
It's on the LoN booster
It must be good, therefore
Crow like a rooster (=/)

Wow, no Jinzo, no Archer
No nothing, nope...

OK, never mind. I can't do this. Anyways, this is a very interesting card. If you don't run any Tributes, this may see a place in your main deck to counter opposing Jinzos, Skulls, and Cannon Soldier/Amazon Archers. Otherwise, put it in your sidedeck, and switch in if necessary.

Score: 3.5

LON-018
Mask of Restrict
Type: Continuous Trap
No matter what the situation, neither player can offer any monster as a Tribute.
Ultra Rare

Mask of Restrict is one of those cards that looks pretty good, but in reality isn't. If anything, this card is best used in the Side Deck as a single copy.

There really isn't even alot of Monsters it affects. The majority of the good decks don't even use Tribute Monsters. The main cards it will be effective against are Cannon Soldier and Jinzo.

And even if your opponent is using those or other Tribute Monsters, it's not hard to get rid of the Mask of Restrict. Most decks these days run 2 Heavy Storm and 3 Mystical Space Typhoon regardless.

Personally I would just stay away from Mask of Restrict unless you play in an enviroment where Tribute Monsters are "abused" somehow.

Rating: 2.2/5

You really shouldn't be afraid of the Tribute Monsters we have currently available. That's why playing with Mask of Restrict is pointless for the most part.
