YuGiOh Episode Guide

This is a synopsis of Yu-Gi-Oh! Episode 16: Arena of Lost Souls, Part 2.

LAST TIME...
Joey has been forced into dueling a young kid named Bonz, protoge of American Duelist Bandit Keith. Keith wants to enter the castle because Pegasus humiliated him at a recent tournament. Joey and Bonz are playing on a strange graveyard field. Joey’s Axe Raider easily defeats the first three monsters Bonz throws at him:
Zanki the Samurai, Crawling Dragon, and Crass Clown. But then Bonz uses the magic card Call of the Haunted to ressurect his fallen monsters. This magic transforms the monsters into zombies, powered up by the graveyard field. As long as Call of the Haunted is in play, the monsters will be continually resurrected and powered up if they are destroyed. Things look bad for Joey.....

Yugi and the others have begun to search for Joey. They come to a deep cave, and plan to explore with caution. Just then, Bakura comes running past them with a skeleton on his back! They all run, only to see a giant boulder coming straight at them! Tristian stands in the path and..pops it! It was just a balloon, and the skeleton was just a rubber prop. Apparently Pegasus wants to keep them out. Meanwhile, Joey has lost his Axe Raider monster to the Dragon Zombie. He draws Time Wizard and plays it. The spin arrow lands on Skull! Time Wizard self destructs, taking the Flame Swordsman with it. Bonz plays PumpKing, the Ultimate Zombie and uses him to power up the other Zombie creatures. Just then, Yugi and the gang find the arena! They all rush to Joey’s side, wanting to help out. Inspired by his friends, Joey draws the Red Eyes Black Dragon, destroying PumpKing. But the Dragon Zombie is by now superpowered, and blows away the Red Eyes. Yugi tells Joey not to give up, that Joey has a magic card in his deck that can exploit the zombie’s only weakness. At first, Joey can’t figure out what the weakness is, but then he realizes: All the zombie monsters have a Defense level of 0. Joey then draws his Magic Card, Shield and Sword, which switches the Attack and Defense stats of all monsters on the field. He destroys the zombies, wiping out Bonz’s lifepoints! The group is reuinited.
Bandit Keith is furious that Bonz lost, and takes the star chips from the rest of his followers. This gives Keith 10 stars, enough to enter the castle. And, as revenge against Joey, Keith pushes a giant rock in front of the cave opening, trapping everyone else inside!
