JOIN KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT AT THE BEST FOUR DAYS IN GAMING – GEN CON INDIANAPOLIS

El Segundo, CA (August 6 2012) – Avid gamers across the world know that August isn’t complete without a trip to Gen Con Indianapolis and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Konami), the maker of the best-selling Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG), is ready to help make it “the best four days in gaming” with a wide array of awesome activities for gamers of all ages to experience. At the four-day show August 16th – 19th, activities will include Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournaments, game demonstrations and even a Sneak Peek of the upcoming booster set, Return of the Duelist slated to release later this month!

Gen Con Indy attendees will want to head straight to the Konami booth (#701) to create their one-of-a-kind Yu-Gi-Oh! Token Card. They can choose from five fun card backgrounds including ones with character favorites like Yusei Fudo and Yugi Muto, to create their own personalized Token Card which is suitable for use during Duels! For those not familiar with the ‘how-tos’ of the game, experts will be available at the booth to give hands-on demonstrations. Attendees should make sure to redeem the show exclusive coupon, found in the Gen Con Coupon Book, good for $2 off the purchase of a Starter Deck: Xyz Symphony (redeemable only at Konami’s booth during Gen Con).

Additionally, players wanting to road-test their Decks can even Duel former U.S. and YCS Champions who will be onsite throughout the show!  Always a hit with the crowd is the Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL TERMINAL arcade-style machine that plays and teaches the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, and dispenses cards to players. And for fans who want the ultimate digital experience, they can play the upcoming Xbox Live® Arcade game, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Decade Duel.

Attendees won’t want to leave the show without a backpack full of new cards and accessories for their Decks by purchasing an assortment Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products at Gen Con, including the brand new 2012 Collectible Tins featuring Heroic Champion – Excalibur and Evolzar Dolkka!

Konami will have many opportunities throughout the four-day show for the avid Duelist or players looking for more gameplay experiences.  In Hall K – look for the large Yuma balloon – Konami is even giving attendees a chance to preview their upcoming booster set, Return of the Duelist, at a Sneak Peek on Sunday, nearly two weeks before the general public can purchase it.   There will also be ongoing events open to everyone including Win-a-Mat, Battle Pack Epic Dawn Sealed Pack Tournament and ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! events, all sure to satisfy players at all levels.
