Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. Descends on Comic Con With an

Astounding Array of Activities Scheduled for Attendees

Company will Showcase its global phenomenon Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TRADING CARD GAME

and the Award-Winning Blue Dragon Role Playing Card Game

El Segundo, CA  (July 22, 2009) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE) brings its arsenal of best selling global CARD GAMES, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Blue Dragon to San Diego Comic Con International (booth #3713) from July 22nd – 26th. KDE will host unique opportunities to become your own Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Token Card, vie for a spot as a Master Duelist plus much, much more.

“We are thrilled to be in the midst of the excitement of this year’s 40th anniversary of San Diego Comic Con. This show gives us a terrific opportunity to show our Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and the Blue Dragon Role Playing Card Game to thousands of comic and pop-culture fans” commented Yumi Hoashi, vice president of Card Business for Konami Digital Entertainment.  “Attendees can stop by our booth throughout the show and get game demonstrations, walk away with cool giveaways and then go play in a multitude of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TRADING CARD GAME and Blue Dragon Role Playing Card Game tournaments for a chance to get even more fun prizes.”

Looking for the latest trading card game products that Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has to offer? Stop by the booth to purchase a pack or two before heading over to a table to play the newest game from KDE, the Blue Dragon Role Playing Card Game (RPCG).  This easy-to-learn game won Creative Child Magazine’s “Seal of Excellence” award and is the perfect way to introduce younger players into the trading card game genre.  Blue Dragon RPCG experts will be on-hand to demo, teach and engage kids in a game featuring a unique world with elements of magic and powers derived from mythical creatures known as Shadows and allies known as Partners. The objective of the Blue Dragon RPCG is to use your cards to gain valuable Experience Points (EXP), progressively level up Shadows and bring an opponent from 20 Life Points (LP) down to 0 to win the game.

What Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fan doesn’t want to become their very own Token Card?  KDE allows San Diego Comic Con attendees to do just that, choose from four different card backgrounds to become your own personalized Token Card – suitable for use during your Duels!

Already a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG enthusiast? Then head to room16 A/B on the Mezzanine Level to participate in numerous tournaments and Duels (pre-purchase tickets at booth #3713). Throughout Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, KDE is hosting a variety of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournaments and activities that appeal to beginners and to expert players alike. These include Duel the Master, Starter Deck Tournaments, Attack of the Giant Card, Dragon Duel Tournaments, Go for the Gold Yu-Gi-Oh! and even a Family Tournament. A complete schedule is available at www.yugioh-card.com.

Attendees can also experience the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Terminal, a Card Game Machine that provide players the opportunity to experience the highly strategic characteristics of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG in an arcade-type machine.  The Duel Terminal, a fixture throughout Japan, offers the perfect component to teach new players the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG while dispensing a collectible card!
