Monday, July 31, 2006  Deathjester is back again with a new Featured Article in Deathjester's Dojo.  Today's article is titled: "Play Tight or Don’t Play At All".

I was at the airport in Providence, RI this week killing time and looking through the newsstand while waiting for a flight.  I saw this issue of Mad Magazine for kids on the newsstand.  There's 9 fake Yugioh cards inside it that are pretty funny.  Feel free to pick one up for $4.99 if you're up for a chuckle.

Friday, July 21, 2006  Konami has released a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Ultimate Beginner’s Pack for the Game Boy Advance handheld video game system, and it is now available exclusively at the Konami online store.  The comprehensive package includes: Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy (GBA), a Starter Deck of Trading Cards, Jaden and Chazz Duelist Packs, a Training DVD, and a set of Exodia cards.  This pack retails for $50 and can only be purchased from Konami's site.  More details in today's news.

Upper Deck has announced four Q4 Yu-Gi-Oh! releases including a Dinosaur's Rage Structure Deck, a second series of Collectible Tins, a Cyberdark Impact Expansion, and a new Champion Pack.  More Details in Today's News. 

Brawlermatrix has updated his downloadable Yu-Gi-Oh English Card Checklists.  This huge file is linked in the left hand margin with the spoilers.  This up-to-date list allows folks to track and reference the cards.

Worthplaying posted details from Konami about the 2006 Video Game Tourney they're running at Comiccon.   The Randolph Recorder has an article about Brandon Sherman from NJ who qualified for the tourney in San Diego.

Also at the San Diego Comic Con: "The Yu-Gi-Oh TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) -- the world's number one trading card game -- celebrates its 5th year anniversary at the 2006 Comic-Con International with a competitive "Duel" between Lost star Malcolm David Kelley ("Walt") and reigning National TCG champion, 11-year-old Austin Kulman of Bellvue, Wa. The action will take place in the main exhibit hall on Saturday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at the Upper Deck booth (#2829) and will be followed by a meet-and-greet session with Yu-Gi-Oh! fans."

Wednesday, July 19, 2006  We have a couple nice tourney reports today. One is from bluedotehD who attended the Shonan Jump tourney in Arlington. The other is from BradM who got in some action at the Salt Lake City Regional Championships.

Oh ... and do you guys remember this from Tuesday: "For those of you into the YuGiOh anime, feel free to let this knucklehead from the The Republic News in Indiana have it:  "At the risk of sounding like a bitter person resisting the demise of his childhood, most of today’s cartoons stink. “Pokemon”? “Yu-Gi-Oh!”? These are better than “Dungeons and Dragons” and “Robotech”?  Excuse me?"" ....

.... Well, you must have done a wonderful job ripping Adam Knapp for his comments ... as now his comrade John Clark said Saturday: "A writer on a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan site somehow came across the column, encouraged his readers to let our “knucklehead” writer have it, and the swill started flowing.  You would not believe the hate mail Adam has been getting. Angry, sub-literate, profanity-filled screeds with bad punctuation, random capitalization and crazy jargon. Over a cartoon."  You guys are my heroes ... even though John thinks you are "jerks from around the globe".

I have a favor to ask of you guys regarding tourney reports.   Our Pojo.com Tourney Report section isn't as popular as it once was ... but with good reason, you guys are posting your in our Message Board and getting feedback.   I would still like to catalog Tourney Reports on the main site though, so that they are always there and easy to find for future reference. So, after you post a report, feel free to email the link (URL) of you Tourney Report post, and we'll link to it off this main site, and even more people will read it.

Much like our forefathers, DM has a bit of rant today about the the state of the game. Instead of delivering the message to "King George" he goes right to The People.
