					Introduction:

I really hadn’t planned on playing tournament today, but a
few “just for fun” games with my friend inspired me to go
ahead and sign up. My friend pulled the rug from underneath
my feet and told me about two minutes before the tourney
began that he forgot to sign up, which meant that it was me
against the competition. My deck which is SUPPOSED to be
based around cyber stein is incomplete, and I don’t even
have a cyber stein =). Just for those of you who don’t know,
these tournaments are of the elimination format and are best
					2 of 3 games.

Match 1- Me vs. Noob kid named Jacob:

This is a off-topic, but I find it funny how I remembered
this youngster’s name. I beat him with a D.D. Warrior Lady
and a Mobius the Frost Monarch alone for one game, and Don
Zaloog’d him like crazy the next game. He did use on rather
interesting card that I have never seen before, Destiny
Hero-Doom Lord. It has a neat effect that is worth
					considering for side deck use.

Match 2-Me vs. Old Friend Terrence

At this point I’m thinking, “Oh crap…” because Terrance is
one of the most skilled players I know. First game is really
in my favor. I have a counter for everything he does. Since
he went first, I went ahead and searched out a MSLV2 to take
out his facedown monster. He has no M/T removal for my
Sakuretsu Armors and a Jinzo completely shuts him down,
considering the fact that he is so used to seeing so many
Monarchs and Jinzo a lot less. The next game, everything he
plays, I counter. Breaker dies to my BTH; His traps go down
to my dust tornado and MST. At one point in the game when he
was near losing, he sighed, “You have everything”. I beat
down my old friend and took the victory, as well as his
					cyber dragon =)

Match 3-Me vs. That hyper-active guy

I really don’t like this guy because he’s too hyper. First
game, I go Don Zaloog crazy. Lucky for me, I was able to
constantly get my search cards going so I won due to massive
card advantage. I lost the second game after he side decked.
I didn’t have any monsters and my traps were getting ripped
apart. The third game was a tricky one. We were evenly
matched, abusing Apprentice and Old Vindictive Magicians. I
take the lead after a super fun combo. I Exile Force his
monster and play a last will to get Don, and after that he
looses lots of card advantage and I take the win.

FINALS-Me vs. Tin, the scrappy kid

Wow…I couldn’t believe I made finals with a very incomplete
deck. Tin is my last opponent and we have a history of
placing bets on games, but last time we did so, I won his
Breaker off of him. First game, I have no hesitation in
abusing smashing ground to get my Don and Spirit Reapers
through to take an easy card advantage, but then he gets
smart on me and pops a Morphing Jar which undoes my whole
card advantage tactic. It didn’t matter though, because my
field advantage was way better than his so I took an easy
win. Second game was a different story. I start with a
useless hand first of all. He gets early field advantage
with GK spies and then swarms me with two Gould, Ruler of
Dark World. I have no chance against all that so early in
the game so I lost rather quickly. Third game, the boy
obviously has no defenses because every one of his face down
M/T was a bluff, and once I had my Don going he put his
whole hand on his M/T zone and got heavy stormed the next
turn. After all of this, he can’t comeback so I take the win
					and the tournament.
