Different Dimension Masters (DDM) - Timothy Crump

Gameworx, Baton Rogue La.

Saturday, May 20, 2006

Participants: 16.

4 rounds Swiss, top4, finals.

First, let me list the deck. You can read the tourney report below this.

What is the theory of the deck? The three cards Banisher of the Radiance, Dimensional Fissure, and Macro cosmos will power up all the cards of the deck. D.D. Warrior Lady and Assailant also will power the deck, with the power of Chaos Sorcerer. Creatures will be stronger from removing, and RFTDD will give you an OTK Possibility. It also prevents your opponents ‘graveyard effects’ from working, by removing the graveyards. This deck is a very good deck as long as you get one of the 3 above named cards out soon enough.

Creatures:
2x Helios Duos Magistos
2x Cyber Dragon
1x Chaos Sorcerer
1x Mobius
1x Zaborg
1x Jinzo
1x D.D. Warrior Lady
1x D.D. Assailant
1x Morphing Jar
2x Helios the Primordial Sun
2x D.D. Scout Plane
3x Gren Maju De Eiza
3x D.D. Survivor

Spells:
1x Graceful Charity
1x Card Destruction
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Scapegoats
2x Dimensional Fissure
2x Smashing Grounds
2x Nobleman of Crossout
2x Soul Release

Traps:
2x Macro Cosmos
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Sakaretsu Armor
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Return from the Different Dimension

Sideboard:
2x Solemn Judgment
1x D.D. Scout Plane
1x Mobius
1x Zaborg
1x Dimensional Fissure
1x Macro Cosmos
2x Soul Absorption
2x D.D. Dynamite

Tourney Report:

Round 1
Vs. Monarch Control
This game was one pretty easy match up. I dropped Macro cosmos face down, and Dimensional fissure on turn one, followed by a D.D. Survivor. He mystical space Typhooned the Fissure and Soul Exchanged the DD for an Air Knight Parshath. I chained Macro Cosmos, and so I got DD back. Tribute it for Zaborg, got it back, then next turn for Mobius, and pretty much wiped him out. 2-0

Round 2
Vs. Dark World
I don’t need to explain what happened here. Turn 1: Dimension Fissure / Card Destruction, bringing out 2 scout planes. It was all hell from there. We got down to about 1/2 decks by turn 3, when I dropped a face down Maju de Eiza. He attacked with Goldd, and killed himself, because my de Eiza was at 8000 defense. This was an easy 2-0 victory.

Round 3
Vs. Cookie Cutter
I lost game 1, as I was too worried about my food being ready... And I did not see a Banisher/Macro cosmos/dimensional fissure the entire game. He swept down with cyber dragon, kycoo, and a few monarchs before I knew what hit. Game 2 I played conventionally and defensively. I lasted long enough, to drop pull off the RFTDD combo with heavy storm, and attacked with 2 3600 Gren Maju's, 2 Monarchs, and a Homunculus for game. Game 3 was also won with RFTDD. 2-1

Round 4
Vs. RFTDD (mirror)
I added in Solemn Judgments for this game, To stop the RFTDD combo. I paid 4000 life to stop it in game one, and then won with my own RFTDD. I didn’t take notes on this game, and can’t remember it much... All I can remember is that you need Solemn Judgments, Bottomless, Torrential and / or Forced Back's ready. 2-0

Finals:
Vs. Zombie Chaos tech
2-0 Via Concession.
I dropped macro cosmos / dimensional fissure, and banisher of the light on turn 1 both games. he conceded right after both games. Apparently zombies can’t handle removal. Zombie Lord, Pyramid Turtle, Sangan, Book of Life, Pot of Avarice ... I mean, half his deck he showed me was useless. This was the easiest game all night. 2-0

And that is my tournament report on the newest and hottest deck, surely to become as popular as Cookie Cutter Chaos Control!
