Well last Saturday when I was running 2 Spiritual Earth Art - Kurogane at the regionals (having a 3-3 record), the deck failed against all good Warrior toolbox's, although I did notice that each of them were close matches, so I decided to take out the very situational Spiritual Earth Arts and replace them for a more versatile, more chainable Ceasefire and Book of Moon and put a Cylinder in my Side Deck. If I successfully used Ceasefire and/or Cylinder against those Warrior Toolbox's, I may have had a better result.

Round 1

Dont remember much. This deck had no theme from what I saw

1st Duel

Me: 8000-9000-7000-6000-5200-3200

Him: 8000-2600-0000

- I just hit him twice, and each time was big.

- Finishing move was Prem my Lily and smack him for game

2nd Duel

Me: 8000-7100-8100-9000

Him: 8000-5800-3000-0000

- Goblin Elite would have had a clean shot at his LP, and I just dominated

- I must have lost 900LP somewhere, but the gain from 7100 to 8100 was from him running into my Nimble.

- I guess I summoned something and put both Nimbles into ATK Pos to have another big hit

- He probably summoned a 1900ATK monster and rammed it into one of my Nimbles hence the 8100 to 9000 LP increase.

- I dont remember the finishing move but 3000 LP in one turn is big

Round 2

Warrior toolbox.

This guy is apart of team Spitfire who is sponsored by the store.

1st Duel

Me: 8000-7600-6600

Him: 8000-6400-6350-5850-3650-3350-950-0000

- I dont remember much but I do remember him ramming his Mystic Tomato or Zaloog into my set Rat, which meant he lost 50LP. Cost of your opponent ramming his tomato into you Goblin Elite? 50LP. Seeing the reaction on his face? Priceless =P

- I think he ran into my Morphing Jar, He didnt set anything from his new hand which baffled me, but my hand had every answer to his tactics and so on 6600LP I dominated the rest of the way.

- The first real test for this deck of mine and things are going ok, or are they?

2nd Duel

Me: 8000-9000-7800

Him: 8000-6600-6300-4300-3300-0

- Kept you in suspence? well it turns out that things were going well for me.

- Well he hit my set Nimble

- Next I summoned my Phoenix, cleared his field, maybe through Smashing Ground, and then he couldnt do anything after that.

- Finishing move was that he must have torrentialed the field after I flip Summoned something, btw Phoenix was on the field, he had a clear field, so I summoned my Exiled, or a Nimble that was in my hand the whole duel, and then Prem back my Phoenix for game. I could have done that or just Prem back my Lily for the game, but the Phoenix looks cooler especially when it teams up with a furry flying rat.

Round 3

Warrior toolbox, Tomato Control and Chaos deck. There was like 2 Chaos Sorcerers in her deck.

My confidence is low because I never beat this girl before. Well actually she's a young adult and not a girl, but thats minor details.

1st Duel

Me: 8000-6300-4600-3600-5600-3600-3000-0000

Her: 8000-6100-5900-3900-3800-1400

- Even though it was close, I felt that she had more options to get back coz her hand was always bigger than mine (yes that statement does sound ambiguous). In the end her CS removed my Phoenix and it was game from there.

- Her Dust Tornados kept on destroying my set cards on my end phase.

2nd Duel

- I sided out a BoM and put in a Magic Cylinder (and boy did that save me)

Me: 8000-9000

Her: 8000-5600-4700-4200-0000

- I dont remember much because I dominated, and when you dominate, there is not much to remember. I basically did not see her Dust Tornados which meant my Sakuretsus could be used to their full potential.

3rd Duel

Me: 8000-6300-3300-4300

Her: 8000-6300-6000-4800-2400-1600-0000

- I wasn't feeling too confident when she kept on hitting my LP when I had no answers at all up until I was on 3300 and she was on 8000LP

- My Phoenix was on the field and a set Magic Cylinder, she had a Tomato and a Sangan on the field, its her turn, she summons DDA and tries to attack and remove my Phoenix so that she could go on with a semi Weenie rush, but my Magic Cylinder stopped her plans dead in its tracks. She ends.

- I believe I used Smashing Ground to destroy her DDA, summoned Giant Rat, suiced into her Tomato, The only thing left to search was a Nimble, and she searches her Newdoria. After some pondering I suicided my Nimble into her Sangan, She searches for DD Warrior lady and I gained 1000LP but both my Nimbles were already out of play, after another long pause I finally decided to attack her Newdoria and it destroyed my Phoenix.

- Skipping a couple of turns, she tried to ram her DD warrior lady into my phoenix but my Sakuretsu stopped it.

- When I was on 4300 and she was on 2400LP, we were top decking and for the 1st few top decks we drew nothing, I started to draw into my defence cards like sakuretsus and Old Vindictive, and scapegoats with SoRL. I just stalled long enough to destroy her monsters.

- On her turn Prem back her Chaos Sorcerer, summoned a monster and her Sorcerer attacked my F/D Old Vindictive, the Vindictive destroyed her other monster.

- Now heres the finishing move. All I needed was a monster with 1600ATK or higher to win, because I had a set Smashing Ground as a bluff. I topdecked... Fairy Injection Lily! What a match.

Round 4

Techy Monarch Burn deck.

This guy always runs heaps of tech and he always makes it work!

1st Duel

Me: 8000-6200-5400-4600-3000-1700-700-0

Him: 8000-7700-7200

- He won the die roll so he opened with a set card in each field.

- I summoned Breaker, broke his f/d m/t, and then attacked into his 1800DEF Des Koala =\, I had 1600 burnt off my LP and I lose 200LP from ramming into a high DEF monster.

- Trib his Koala for his Zaborg and I got pwned from here on in.

2nd Duel

Me: 8000-4600-2000-0

Him: 8000-7700-6900-5000-6000

- Well I dont remember much, but this is how it ended. I had a Goblin Elite and a Drillroid I think. Anyway, my Drillroid(or something else) ran into a Cylinder, and my Goblin Elite ran into a Dimension Fusion =\

Round 5

Another Warrior toolbox, tomato control, chaos deck

1st Duel

Me: 8000-7000-5200-3300-2500-0000

Him: 8000-7500-8500-8000-6100

- He had everything and I had nothing. He dominated the game from the 1st move.

2nd Duel

Me: 8000-9000-5900-2800-1800-0

Him: 8000-7400

- He pwned me even more!

- You know why? I made a lot of mistakes. eg. I had a Heavy and MST next to each other in my opening hand. I used MST to take out his f/d m/t, but then realised I had hastily used my Heavy Storm instead =\

Oh well, so I didn't win the box but 5th place out of a quality field of 18 ppl is alright. I got a HL2 Cyber Jar (boy do they look fake) and nothing in my FET booster. The winner of the tourney ran a Warrior toolbox deck, and he's the same person I beat in the 2nd Round! 0.O

Props: Well beating 2 of 3 Warrior toolboxes is a prop I guess
