Well let me start off by saying this was my 1st Sneak Preview and was probably my best day of dueling because everyone has the same booster set. And plus, we even got to register twice, due to the extra amount of product given to us by Upper Deck. Thanks Upper Deck!!!! You guys rule!!!

My friend Adam, who I call Orgoth (due to the fact that he is the exact opposite of relentless and named him during playing a round of Halo 2 earlier) and I got up around 6:30 A.M. and got ready to leave at my home in Berwick, PA at around 7:30 A.M. and had Burger King (mmmmm….) we arrived at Blue Bell (which is a town or city or whatever next to Philadelphia) in about 2 hours, enough to register to get our promos (since they were only handing out 100 that day). Adam has been obsessed with getting Amazoness Chain Master since forever and his dream came true. We opened our packs and here is what I got (in my rares):

Hero Signal – (Trap) Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from hand or deck that has “elemental hero” in its card name

Grave Ohja – (ATK/1600 DEF/1500) forgot the effect

Ancient Gear Beast – (ATK/2000 DEF/2000) Effects of opponent’s effect monster that this monster destroys as a result of battle are negated (another effect is on here but I don’t remember

Master Monk – (ATK/1900 DEF/1000) Can ONLY be special summoned by tributing 1 “monk fighter” on your side of the field. And it could attack twice!

Millennium Scorpion – (ATK/2000 DEF/1800) Each time this card destroys 1 monster on your opponent’s side of the field, and sends it to the graveyard as a result of battle, increase the ATK of this card by 500 points. (More on this card later.)

We had to find at 5 different opponents to duel with before we could get our 6th pack to open so here is how it went:

First round: (KB ToyZ) a.k.a. Me vs. “Florida

This was my first opponent in which in I started out with my E-Hero Sparkman and Grave Lure. Florida was probably nervous because he kept dropping his cards and looking around. Grave Lure help me get rid of a card he really needed, and by this time I had E-Heroes up to the wazoo on my side of the field my Guardian Statue, when flip summoned, could return one of Florida’s monsters to his hand, and well you know the rest of the story, 0 monsters on his side of the field, 5 monster with about 6500 ATK total. So he ended up losing.

Record: 1- 0

Second Round: Me vs. Ehren (pronounced air-n):

Not much to say about this one. I gave it my all but it wasn’t enough. I guess I wasn’t thinking because I pretty much didn’t understand was going on. His D.D. Survivor (1800 ATK’er) was too much (all I have is 1600 ATK’ers that are under 5 stars) but you know, sometimes you win sometimes you lose. And besides, it was a good back-and-forth duel.

Record: 1 - 1

Third Round: Me vs. Servant (THAT is real name!)

Before I duel Servant, I had to give him a nickname, because he said he didn’t want to be called by his real name. So I called him Slippy. Slippy started off with low ATK’ers like E-Hero Avian (Featherman for all you Yu-Gi-Oh! GX watchers) and I whipped out the old Millennium Scorpion. This sucker is good. If you don’t believe me, read the effect. I got Scorpion up to about 3500 ATK on the field, along with my 3 E-Hero Sparkmen. So I took away the win.

Record: 2 - 1

Fourth Round: Me vs. No-name

I don’t really recall this duel because I don’t remember his face. I remember winning by having 2 Sparkman on the field, 1 Burstinatrix (which I tributed to activate Gift of the Martyr, which increases my 1 monster’s (Sparkman) ATK by the tributed monster 1600+1200 = 2800 ATK and then I activated double attack, which by sending 1 monster to the graveyard from my hand, I can select one monster on my side of field (my 2800 Sparkman) with a lower level then the discarded monster (which I discarded Master Monk [5 stars]). It can then attack twice. I took away the win from there.

Record: 3 - 1

Fifth Round: Me vs. Phil Magera (I called him this because exactly like him too.)

This was the best and most challenging duel out of all of them. He had rock removal deck. I started off pummeling him with my Sparkman and Burstinatrix and setting my defenses with E-Hero Clayman. I then brought out my Millennium Scorpion. I got it up to 4000 ATK!!!! Then he brought the pain with the rock cards. By removing 6 rock type monsters he special summoned his Megarock Dragon with 4200 ATK!!! He even took control of my Scorpion with Dummy Golem! I am literally screwed with only 1600 LP and he got my Scorpion up to 4500 ATK!!!! But then I’m like “Hey, I won a tournament before and take this guy! I completely forgot that I set Dummy Golem and I then believe in the heart of the cards. I draw. Double attack!!! I flip summoned my Dummy Golem, take BACK my Scorpion with 4500 ATK and attack his Megarock Dragon. YAY! Got him down to 7700 LP. yay. Now my Millennium Scorpion is at a total of 5000 ATK!!!!!!!!!!! He sets one. I play Double Attack. Discard Antique Gear Beast. GO MY GREAT BEAST, ATTACK!!!!!!!! Blow him away to smithereens…………LP 0

Record: 4 - 1.

As I went up to get my 6th pack, I thought to myself, what should I do with my only $10? Call Dad for another 10 bucks and register again of course! I pulled crap for my 6th pack. Me and Adam registered again but didn’t get the promos…. :(
