Match 1 - Matt (Me) Vs. Glenn
Deck Type: Necrofear Beatdown

Duel 1:
He was able to summon Necrofear, but I got Creature Swap off, and I gave him my Tsukuyomi, and I basically
dominated the board after that happened.

Duel 2:
He summoned a Summoned Skull and a Giant Orc on me, and all I had down was a Penguin Soldier, so I was honestly
scared to find out what happened. I top deck the godly Bottomless, I bounce Penguin and Skull back to hands, he tries
sacking Orc for Skull when he fell in the pit, and I just ran him over with Tribe after that.

Match 2 - Matt (Me) Vs. Tim (#2 in store)
Deck Type - Chaos Control

Duel 1:
For some odd reason or another, he just could not get a good draw, so I basically ran him over, which I was in total shock.
I had a counter for everything I threw at him, and I just ended up on top this game.

Duel 2:
He sideboards in a few cards, so I figure Im chum this game... but somehow I actually beat him again... I dont know how
in the hell I was able to do it, but I did it... surprised me AND the Judge, cause he figured I couldnt beat him, cause Im
heavily underestimated, I just have bad draws... oh well, GG.

In between match 2 and 3, I find out that Im in a 3 way tie for the first place slot, which surprised me, and it gave me motivation
to win the 3rd match.

Match 3 - Matt (Me) Vs. Kelvin
Deck Type - Creator Beatdown

Duel 1:
I draw a crap hand... but I was able to hold him off somewhat, with my first Drop Off nailing his Creator, I was on a nice little cloud.
But, then the deck decided to clump and I got ran over by Gorillas.

Duel 2:
This game, he sideboards in, so I figure this is where the streak ends... but I actually get him in a 6th turn Tsuku-Drop lock, good game.

Duel 3:
I dont know what the hell happened... but it was over in a flash basically, I couldnt get anything to happen, cause he Crossed out my Soldiers
and he just ran me over again with Gorillas... but I was able to Drop Off his Creator again, he never got it out the entire game, but it just proved
he didnt need it to lay a whooping on my ass... good game...

Finals Round 1
Matt (Me) Vs. Glenn
Deck Type - Necrofear Beatdown

Duel 1:
Somehow I got paired up with the same guy I faced in the first round... and just like the first round, I dominated the board, pulled off another
Tsuku-Drop lock, and actually ran him over with a Maged out Sinister Serpent, 2300 attack points, that made me very very happy.

Duel 2:
Basically like Duel 1, I ran him over with Mobius, got him into another Drop lock, and that knocks him out of the finals.

Finals Round 2
Matt (Me) Vs. Ryan
Deck Type - Spellcaster Beatdown

Duel 1:
This game was a freaking battle, we were dropping monsters left and right, and somehow he just managed to draw into better things, he got out
DMoC which pretty much spelled disaster for me, and I had nothing left to counteract what he threw... finishes me off with a Lightning Vortex into
a uber smack in the face by the staff of DMoC, good game.

Duel 2:
DMoC helped and hurt me in this game, I was able to Creature Swap for his DMoC on about... the 13th turn, but then he drew Snatch Steal and
proceeded to just ram and ram and ram, last card I draw was a Spirit Reaper, I think I got it ok... Crossout... good game.

I then find out that the duel I was just in... was actually pairings for the top 4 duel slots, so Im still in the tournament, rock the hell out.

Finals Round 3 - For 3rd and 4th Place
Matt (Me) Vs. Kelvin
Deck Type - Creator Beatdown

Duel 1:
I figure, by this time, my tank had officially run out of gas, and for the first duel... I was right... he ran me over with everything in his deck, I could barely
keep up with what he threw at me... (sigh)

Duel 2:
I somehow get a small spurt of fuel going in my tank and was able to beat him this game, I almost got screwed out of a call... cause I wasnt sure that I
kept a monster when Snatch Steal goes off and the monster goes facedown... but it helped me, and I was able to capitalize on it... game 2 goes to me.

Duel 3:
This was a battle to the bitter end... but a last minute top deck of Cyber Jar saved me... but I didnt put him facedown, I put him in attack mode with my Reaper and my Prematured Mobius and stuck a Mage on Cyber Jar... I put him in a Tsuku lock after I got my monsters out and I finally laid one of the best players in the shop to rest...

Conclusion
All in all, I had a really good day, I had fun, and I cant believe I actually did as good as I did... the number one guy wasnt there today cause he had family business to attend to, but Im sure my record would not have been this good if he was there. I went to claim my prize of 2 packs, so I picked up 2 packs of Flaming Eternity, cause for some reason, I have luck when I open packs... so I was hoping to pull a Vortex... and I open both packs... and they are both freaking Meteor of Destruction... neither of them are parallel... and I thought, oh well, at least I came in 3rd place today, which is the best Ive done in a while since coming to the new card shop. I stayed after the tournament to play some games.

Props:
Coming in 3rd place
Being able to beat 2 of the best players in store
Being complimented by one of my rivals for coming in 3rd
Having fun... it counts!

Slops:
Pulling 2 of the same crap rare out of my 2 prize packs
Not having money to get a soda, which I wasted on a pack of AST before the tourney started (got Gear Golem that way, woot)
Staying up too late on Friday to fix my deck...

Next week, I hope we get The Lost Millenium packs in stock so I can begin work on my Yu-Gi-Oh version of the M:TG Rock deck.
