My Report:

The night before, I helped Nabeshin #4 fix his deck into a Beast deck…a good Beast deck.

Match 1: Me vs. Preston
This is a little kid that has been playing for a while, but still has that n00b smell to him.

Duel 1: I had field advantage about the whole time, and he summons a GAF. I bottomless. He CotH a Berserk Gorilla. I bottomless. It’s game from there.

Me: 8000-6000
Him: 8000-7900-5900-2100-0

Duel 2: I play Duo, attack a Sangan, he gets Night Assailant. He plays Stray Lambs to keep himself alive and hits me a few times, then I kill him with Gorilla, Serpent, and DDA.

Me: 8000-7000-6700-4800-4700-4650
Him: 8000-6700-6100-2400-100-0

My Record: 1-0

Match 2: Me vs. Randy (Flip/Beatdown/Fiends)
Read my last tourney report for more info.

Duel 1: I draw Duo, DDA, Sakuretsu, Tornado, and Heavy Storm. A run into a couple of Goats and he brings out some 1900 attackers. He activates Ceasefire and stalls a bit until he get Pot and I see his eyes light up. I say, “Necrofear”? He says “No”. He then removes 3 Fiends and says, “Yeah”. I then politely respond with “Doesn’t matter” and flip Bottomless.

Me: 8000-7000-5000-4700-3700
Him: 8000-4500-2700-1000-0

Duel 2: This one took soooo long. He stalled forever until I was down to one card, and beat him with three monsters after a Vortex.

Me (Get ready for a long read): 8000-6700-5800-6800-6400-5700-5000-3400-2300-3300-3100-2800-2600-1600
Him: 8000-6300-4700-2700-2400-2000-1800-1500-1200-0

My Record: 2-0

Match 3: Il Palazzo vs. Nabeshin #4 (Beasters)
Crap. We are both 2-0 and no one else is. Time to test the changes to our decks.

Duel 1: It’s a huge mess of Manticores and DDAs. He has some Goats and I use Tribe on Beasts taking away his defense to get a few shots in. We both use the Snatch. More DDA action, and it’s down to a monster race. He gets Serpent (ouch!) and I draw…monster…monster…GORILLA!

Me: 8000-7900-7300-4700-4400-2400-400-1400-1100
Him: 8000-7200-5600-6600-5900-6900-5200-3800-3500-2500-2200-1900-0

Duel 2: His Duo + my Charity = loss for me I really messed myself up on this one. He had hand serious hand advantage and Momongas.

Me: 8000-7000-6000-5000-2700-400-0
Him: 8000-8300-8600-7600

Duel 3: I NoC a Momonga and lose hand advantage somehow. Our duels always come down to the hands for some reason.

Me: 8000-7600-7200-5900-5800-4100-2500-200-0
Him: 8000-6400-4700

My Record: 2-1 There’s no way I’m tying for 1st because no one else is on our level.

Match 4: Jesse (Warriors)
He’s not using cookies, just a weird mix of warriors and some Black Scorpion peoples.

Duel 1: I NOC his DDWL. Snatch his Jinzo and beat him with it and 2 King Tiger Wangers.

Me: 8000-6200-4800
Him: 8000-6400-5000-4300-1900-0

Duel 2: I kill his Chick with Wanger after he hits me a couple times with it. My Gorilla takes out his Cliff, and use Snatch and Ring. I beat him with Gorilla.

Me: 8000-6800-6500-5500-2300
Him: 8000-7400-5400-4900-1800-0

My final record: 3-1

Second place – wow, a whole $3.

Props:
Trading my extra DDA for BLS, SS LV3 (see last report for details) and a Blast Held by a Tribute
Team ACROSS takes 2nd and 3rd once again

Slops:
Losing
Paying $5 to get in, not pulling a thing in my pack, and getting $3 for second place.
Spending my $3 on a pack of Inuyasha only to find out it costs $4 – doh!
