Okay well this is my first tournament report and I am ready to start this off with the deck!

hey dont laugh this deck is unstoppable !!!!

By the way i was teamed up with a younger partner name joseph(my name is joe) as well.......he gave me the choice of what deck he was going to play....after looking through his 5 decks i found that the best choice would be a burn/Stall deck so that my Scientist/Turtle deck could have longer to exeucute a win!

Going into the match I felt alright considering Jamie is an awesome duelist and is one of the best at Batter Up, and Cory is a younger player that should not be overlooked.....

The turn order went

I started with decent hand but not one I loved, I had

Cory started with 2 Spell/Traps and a Chiron the Mage in atk
my partner then summon Bowagian(during your stand-by phase your opponent takes 600 direct damage) in atk and also set two face downs
........Alright after a fews draws my hand looked like this

I thought its game right here no-one has taken damage and i have the combo right here

So I
Special Summon Gilasaurs and monster gate him pulling a Cannon Solider
then I played Last Will since Gilasauors was destroyed this turn
and pulled a Catapult Turtle

Just when I was going to summon a Scientist for the win He Played Ring of Destruction on the Catapult Turtle(cory played it) NOOOOOOOOOO! me win is destroyed!!

Little Did I Know ;P

After Jamie played Snatch Steal for 2 turns he gained 2000 lifepoints( with out then he would of lost)

4 turns later with done my hand was Me-18000 Them 15800

i looked at this hand for about 3 minutes till I decided to try summoning Scientist and playing reload on one card!!!!

the card i was praying for was monster Gate!!!

i shuffle up............and It Is Monster Gate .......Part One is Done know i need to get the Turtle with that monster Gate!!

So I use Scientist effect pay 1000 get Thousand Eyes Restrict...suck up my opponent Chrion the Mage and played monster gate....ALL i wanted was a Catapult Turtle and then I would win!!!

the order for monster gate went

CATAPULT TURTLE!!!!!!

After no Response Jamie and Cory knew it was over the scientist and turtle were on the field and I had 17000 lifepoints and they only had 14800!!! hehehehehe


So During the Break I ran to Dominos grabbed a Pizza for my brother and i and ran back to Batter Up



Round 2 this one was a quick one

after just face down monsters from Baba and James i was ready for the win

-Shot him for 500 damage
-activate Last Will......no response
then quick play Serial Spell

i get Scientist and Turtle GAME OVER!!!!

I went Last AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't feel so good with my hand when john set 4 face downs

So it came to me and i played Scapegoat and set last will acivated monster gate and mistakenly picked a monster before playing serial spell!!!! any way i got a Turtle so I felt good acivated last will....NO...SOLEMN JUDGEMENT!!!
.......thats game I thought 8000 to 16000 Its over!!!

During the next 5 turns my partner burned our opponents

We actually won With Out my Combo.....hey I didn't mind!!!!

in the 3 packs i pulled a Lightning Vortex!!(super rare)

joseph thanked my after the match because this was his first tournament WIN!
