Welcome to another addition of another Controlled Burn Tourney Report!



I made a few tweaks to the deck over the week and will probably change it again this week. Since chaos isn t too popular in my meta I don t usually see it that often. However, this week 2 new people showed up both using chaos decks. I was surprised but I thought it was nothing I couldn t handle.

ROUND ONE



Controlled Burn Vs Fiends



Hmmm, I know this guy and I really don t think he plays very well sometimes.



Game 1



What!? He summons a lava golem on my side of the field while I have level limit active and he slowly drains my life points away! When I m at 3500 he summons a goblin king with three fiends on the field jacks it up with mage power and uses opti camoflouge armor which allows it to attack directly and that s game. Grrrr. That just makes me mad because his deck really isn t that good and it was all luck. Now I will crush him.



Games 2 and 3



I don t really remember them because he was keeping score but I know I just annihilated him. Bwahahahaaa ah.



ROUND TWO



Controlled Burn Vs CCCCopied



This is the new guy I was talking about. I ve played him before when he was running earth and he just crushed me.



Game 1



We both are pretty even at 3000 each that is until he swarms me with a bunch of his monsters and attacks for game.



Game 2



I m feeling like I m not going to win but I know I still have a chance.

All I have to say is stealth bird rocks! I think it caused him about 3000 points of pain! A ceasefire and a wave finish him off.



Game 3



My stall is working out pretty good and is keeping his jinzo stopped while my wave goes up to 4. even though he s at 4500 I go ahead and launch wave to do 4000 dropping him to 500 after a few more turns he unexpectedly book of moons his jinzo and I immediately activate ceasefire for game!!! After the game he said that nobody ever plays burn and his sidedeck has no anti-burn cards in it.



ROUND THREE



Controlled Burn Vs CCCC (yawn)



The second of the new guys lets see how he stands up to the burn.



Game 1



I forget how this one goes but he wins.



Game 2



Total hand domination for me on this game. I think I hit him with a reaper 4 times. BLS shows up somewhere but I have stall cards and I get rid of it next turn. I win.



Game 3



Ugh. A repeat of game one. I forget what happens but he wins.



2-1



Good I made it into the semis without much trouble.



SEMIFINALS



Controlled Burn Vs Pyro/Burn



What?! This guy used to run fiends and last week he ran a borrowed water deck and now a borrowed pyro deck??? What s next? Earth??



Games 1 and 2



I lock him up in the first game with TER and Tsuku and crush him in the second game.



FINALS



Controlled Burn Vs the second CCCC I faced today.



Game 1



God I have a really bad memory. All I know is that I won this game.



Game 2



However, I do remember this game. There were several interesting things that happened in this duel. 1. messenger of peace and level limit staying active for 16 turns with his heavy in the grave. 2. TER playing a key role, I think I used him 3 times. 3. Black Luster Stupid Envoy of the Annoying coming out and removing one of my monsters (I had level limit and messenger still in play) but that got taken care of by my lava golem. A comical part of this duel was where I had a TER on the field and he had 3 face-up defense spirit reapers and I slowly targeted them with Thousand Eyes which destroyed them. I eventually beat him by reusing duo with magician and tsuku to get his hand down. And finishing him off with the tsuku TER lock combo.



Allright! I won the tournament again this week and get nothing important from my packs. The only bad part of the day was trading my ultimate Horus six for another nightmare wheel and some other good stuff. Now my ultimate Horus 8 feels lonely all by itself (sniff) LOL.



I was also able to beat some chaos decks, which is always a good thing.
