You knew it was coming. Now that the Structures are out, the Dragons and Zombies will play. This one wasn’t as great as my friends, only because he didn’t modify it as much as my friend did.
Duel #1: He went first, and that was bad, cause on my first two turns, he hit me with Compulsory Evacuation Device. He got his Ryu Kokki out on me and used the Bone Tower on me to deliver 2800 damage, but I was able to SS his monster and Tribute for Mobius and kill his Call of The Mummy. It didn’t take long to win from there because he couldn’t set any cards, bad hand and all. Probably from having Despair from the dark’s trashing his hand. Sasuke also put a real hurting on him the entire duel. WIN.
Duel #2: This is the kinda duel I hate. The one where the zombie’s actually WORK on me. He did much better this time, with me doing much worse. He was able to keep his Ryu Kokki’s and his V-Lord on the field and wipe out my monsters, which I didn’t get many of. I just kept drawing stuff that wouldn’t help against big stuff like Kokki. LOSS.
Duel #3: This worked ENTIRELY the way I wanted it too. I was able to deal a 2000 hit, then a 4000 hit, thanks to my two Blade Knights and a bunch of set cards. Then the hit for game. Beautiful. WIN.
MATCH #2: Alex’s Warriors vs. Brian’s... Deck >_>
Duel #1: For the darn life of me, I can’t remember what he played, not a single monster. Looking at my notes though, I swept him in the first duel. WIN.
Duel #2: The next one was long and frustrating. I remember me SS’ing one of his monsters and keeping it for like, 6 turns. His LP’s kept going up and down thanks to SS, but it ended up that I won. Sorry that I couldn’t remember, I’ll do better too next time. WIN.
OMG. This was one of those duels where you just get trounced so hard and fast that it was like a blur (but I remember it!).
Duel #1: This was crazy. I was always aware of the fact that Beserk Gorilla was in use, in OVERuse really, but I’ve never faced him this season. This guy pulled 2 on me and some Raging Battle Oxes to take me out fast. Every one knows that Warrior decks are usually weak (as far as monster attack goes), unless they can powerup first. Well, he hit me too fast and too hard for me to mount any kind of defense. Bottom line, my deck didn’t flow and I couldn’t get any powerups. LOSS.
Duel #2: Thankfully, I was able to get a much better hand this time around. We both hit each other hard, him getting 3700 on me one turn thanks to BG and RBO. Luckly though, I was able to get out my Don/A Forces/Fusion Sword combo on him. He killed his own BG, and went on the defensive after that. I got Sasuke on him and went on to win.
Duel #3: This one was pure... ouchness. He again was able to get multiple BG’s on me and this time, I didn’t even hurt him. He got the Manticore of Darkness on me thanks to Painful choice, and my last Topdeck at 200 LP’s was... JINZO!@ OMGTHANKSFORSCREWINGME! LOSS.
I was under the assumption that his deck was originally a Harpie deck, but now I find out that it is in-fact a Wind deck. He has 3 Spear dragons, 3 Luster Dragons, 3 Harpies Bro’s, things like that.
Duel #1: This was awesome! Freakin awesome (go carl!)! First turn, I play 2 A Forces and Command Knight, and Sakuretsu. He goes, plays Harpies Bro with Harpies Hunting Ground, raising it to 2000 ATK. He attacks, I activate Sakuretsu. He plays Premature on it and ends his turn. I SS his Harpies bro, play Goblin Attack Force. Game. Goblin at 3500, Command Knight at 2400, and Harpies Bro at 2000. that’s 7900 baby. On the 2nd turn. WIN.
Duel #2: He got a hit in with Spear Dragon, but I was able to to SS it, tribute for Jinzo, power up some warriors for the win. easy. WIN.
So I got 3rd. Nice. I hope this is the way it keeps going, cause 1st place isn’t far now. I went out, got my Tourney pack, bought 3 LOD packs for $10, and got 2 SOD packs for 3rd place. I got commons in the TP5 pack, crappy normal rares in the 3 LOD packs, LV4 Horus in 1 SOD pack, and ANOTHER Ultimate Rare Mobius The Frost Monarch in the last pack I open. Nice. After reviewing my matchs with this Warrior deck up to now (as in, since I built it). I have figured out at least 1 major thing:
1. Warriors hate Zombies and Beastdowns. Both of those are too fast and powerful for warriors to effectively keep up with. Beastdowns overwhelm with pure power, while zombies have insane recusion and special summoning abilities, not to mention them having Ryo Kokki, who kills Warriors with his effect. Knowing this, I might put some Zombyra’s in my deck to help against those Berserk Gorilla’s and such.
Pro’s:
· Got 3rd/15, not bad at all.
· Got another Ultimate Rare Mobius.
Con’s:
· Not getting 1st >_<.
· Not having anything worthwhile in the owners stacks of cards to trade for.
· Not getting anything in those 3 LOD packs.
Overall, I enjoyed it this week, I wish I could remember that 2nd match, but I won both duels, so it doesn’t matter all that much. I did figure out this week that I’ll be going to the Shounen Jump Championships in Charlotte this June, the 25th. So I’ll write about that when it happens, and also, I’ll be at the FAB’s Flaming Eternity Pre-release Tourney on March 5th, at 7pm. It’s 25 bucks even, you get 6 packs and build a deck with those cards (your deck can be 40-54 cards), then duel like it was a normal tourney. I’m not sure if we’re getting that Cyber Harpie promo or not, but this is a great chance at getting those great super/ultra rares from FET, so maybe I’ll see some of you there at one of those events, please email me if you will be at one of them.
