This week I think I went in a little too confident. I won the last two times, so I thought I could easily do it again. Well, to make a long story short, I thought wrong. I decided I was going to test out some new cards such as Wall of Illusion, and Lightforce Sword. When I got there, I saw that there were completely different people there than the past two times, so I decided I would drop the Lightforce Sword idea and stick with Drop Off.

Before the tournament started, I traded my Big Shield Guardna and Draining Shield for another Thousand Eyes Restrict and a Spirit Reaper. Probably not the best deal I've ever gotten…but I figured I could use them more.
Round 2: Played someone new I had never seen before. He was the same person that beat my sister first round.
First Duel I won pretty easily. From watching my sister's match, I knew what I had coming, and he looked very easy. He played a warrior deck, but not like what you'd expect. It used things like Dark Blade, Gemini Elf, Swift Gaia, and other crappy monsters with a bunch (at least 8) equip cards.
Me: 8000-7000-5700-4700-3700-2200-1900
Him: 8000-6600-3500-3100-0
The next round was very close. I side-decked in a Kycoo and a Kinetic Soldier. It was hard for me to get card advantage because I wasn't getting what I needed. I was forced to stall until I could get them. His massive attack monsters just ran over anything I pulled out and I wasn't able to gain very good card advantage. I pulled off a big combo I thought would turn around the game, taking out his whole field, but he was able to topdeck an answer to it.
Me: 8000-7700-6900-5100-3300-2300-1900-1100-700
Him: 8000-6400-6350
This round was again close. I was able to gain somewhat of a hand advantage, but not enough I guess. Again, when I was very low on lifepoints, I was able to pull off a good combo and take out his field, just for him to topdeck an answer to it next turn.
Me: 8000-7200-3600-2600-700-600-400
Him: 8000-7850-6850-6050-4450-2850
Well I was pretty disappointed, but I guess there's always next time. I think I got too into experimenting too much in my deck instead of sticking with what worked. Well I got a few cards that will help me out next time, so hopefully I'll have a little better luck. Out of my TP5 pack, I got Mystical Sheep #1 and a Goddess With the Third Eye.
Pros:
- Advanced Format allowing people with skill, but not all the good cards, to have a chance to win.
- Trading for some good cards that I've been needing.
Cons:
- Low attendance at an Advanced Format tourney.
- Losing, but I guess that's not all too bad. I learned a lot.
