AAF

This was my third time coming to this tourney with my friend. After a couple of buying and signing up time the tournament soon started.

Round 1 Me VS ???

I know most of the peoples names here except this guy, I guess because he doesn't show up that much. Anyway, he went first set 1 card and ended. I was happy with my hand I summoned Cyber Dragon and D. Zaloog and pretty much owned him from there on. A couple of times he got out Skilled Dark Magician but I just either Smashing Grounded or Snatch Stole it.

1-0

He went first again and again he just set 1 f/d monster and ended. I, unfortunately didn't not get the same hand as last time so I had to get defensive from the start. For a few turns he was setting up with SDMagician and I was setting up with my defense. Soon he went on the attack and attacked my Mystic Tomato and I got Newdoria and then he attacked my f/d Old Vindictive Magician and destroyed his SDM. On my turn I went on the attack and owned all his monsters with my Newdoria and D.D. Assailant. Couple of times he tried to build a comeback but I soon stopped that with Sacred Phoenix of Nepththys.

2-0

Between rounds

My friends all got 2-0 and all of us were sitting on the same side. After all the matches were done, the pairings for the next match was my two friends faced each other and I had to face Daniel.

Round 2 Me VS. Daniel

He ran a G-bind Ampfibous Bugroth MK3 deck.

This time I went first and set up with Mystic Tomato, Newdoria, Spirit Reaper, and Old Vindictive Magician. Everytime he got out ALO, I just saved my MST, Heavy Storm, or Dust Tornadoes to destroy them. Unforturnately he got out his last one and pretty much went on offense when he activated Dark Hole to destroy all monsters on my field then he attacked with Aqua Spirit, AB MK3, and Fenrir. With my hand not doing anything to his G-bind or LLAB there wasn't anything I could do and lost.

2-1

My friend lost his first of the second round as well facing an Aggro Wind deck.

I sidedecked in 2 WMC, 2 Mobius, and another Dust.

Those really came through for me because I controlled his LLAB, ALO, G-bind with Mobius and controlled his monsters with Newdoria, Spirit Reaper and D.D. Assailant as well as BTH. Couple of times I went to greedy and he took advantage of my WMC with 5 counters on it and destroyed it with Mobius of his own or bounced it back with Nightmare Penguin. It didn't matter because soon he ran out of options and I decimated him with another WMC and Spirit reapers to get rid of his hand.

3-1

He went first on our third match and tried to get aggressive from the get go setting up with Giga-Gagagigo and Aqua Spirit but I just took care of all his monsters with Newdoria, OVMagician and D.D. Assailant and in the end I took the match with a Mobius and a Sacred Phoenix on the field.

4-1

Break

My friend 2-1 and had a record of 4-1 just like me. Apperantly he sidedecked in 3 WMC and thats the only reaoson why he won is what he said.

Round 3 Me VS. Oliver

Oliver has been going on a winnning streak when he finished 2nd in a tournament in Oakland and when he beat me 5 times after that tourney, he probably thought he had my number.

He went first and played defensive with Spirit Reapers and Sangan. I took advantage of that with D.D. Assailant, Mystic Tomato and Spirit Reaper. He then summoned Cyber Dragon which I BTH then he summoned Blade Knight putting down 2 cards to make his attack 2000 but I took care of that with Sakurestu Armor. I finished the match with Phoenix when I drew Hand of Nephthys on my following turn.

5-1

We both sidedecked and I knew I had the edge because of Kinetic Soldier.

He went first and again went defensive by placing 3 S/T which I blew away with Heavy Storm and then I summoned Sangan and attacked but it was spirit reaper so I smashed it in my MPhase 2. He went on offense with D.D. Warrior Lady and removed my Sangan and placed a WMC down. On my turn I MST it and then summoned Newdoria and kept attacking. When he drew another WMC I started to get worried even though my LP were 7700-5600. On my turn I drew Scapegoat set it and attacked his Lp 4400 he drew and ended I think it was Mefist the Infernal general that he loves so much was in his hand. On my turn I drew Dust Tornado and set it and attacked his Lp 3200. On his draw phase I activated Dust Tornado to get rid of WMC and he thought he had me when he drew Chaos Sorcerer and then he realized he had no Light so he had to end with 2 cards in his hand. On my turn I drew Spirit Reaper and attacked with Newdoria his LP 2000. The reason why i didn't attack wiht reaper was because the 2 cards in his hand he didn't activate for 2 turns so I figure they were useless. He drew and set a S/T. I drew Mobius which I tribute summoned via Newdoria and destroyed his S/t which was DTornado and that ended the match.

6-1

After this tourney I realized that this format was built for aggressive players and that was one of the reasons why my friend was winning left and right so I changed my style from conservative to aggressive and boy does it make your opp. change their style of play.

My prize was 2 TP7 packs which I gave 1 to my friend he got nothing and I didn't get anything either altough the guy I faced in the first round got a Choas Command Magician which my friend got with a Holo Harpie Lady Sisters and an empty box trade to get it LoL.

Oh, here is the deck I won the tourney with.
