Phoenix_Beastdown_Deck_Mr.X_Excalibur_Comics

Mr. X at Excalibur. It was a box tourney today!

Format: Swiss
Participants: 22

Unlike the regular tournaments we always have, it was a box-tourney today.
The price was $8 instead of $5, but it was worth it. Anyway, after
completing my "Hiita The Fire Charmer" back sleeves (That's right. I finally
got over 40!), I thought I¡¯d enter. Since this was a box tourney, I thought
I could use this trip to my advantage for my next back sleeve project:
Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai! A common trap card from CRV. Anyway, let's
start with my deck list.

Giant Truanade

I changed my side deck around a bit and added 1 more card to my main deck.

Round 1. Mr. X VS Florijan (Stall-burn)

He went first and he used Secret Barrel on beginning of my turn. After
realizing that I was up against a burn deck, I knew that getting rid of his
S/T was my best shot. So I used Phoenix and nuked everything. Then I had
Jinzo out, putting more restriction on him. Sure, those 2 got Tributed for
his Lava Golem, but I already had the upper hand to make a come back.
On the second duel, he used Secret Barrel again on beginning of my first
turn. Since I already had side decked against burn after the first duel, I
had less worries. I got my Phoenix out again and also had jinzo later on. So
I won again.

1-0. A good start

Round 2. Mr. X VS Mike. D (Chaos-Beat down)

My Apprentice Magician was just raped by his Enraged Bottle Ox and even
though I had the resources coming, my LP just got down to 0 pretty fast with
his monsters just staying on the field. Not to mention that he removed my
Phoenix with Kycoo. Well that's just prime. After that, my goats weren't
really doing their stuff because his Enraged Bottle Ox raped them. He wins.
Second duel, again, his Enraged Bottle Ox raping everything. This time he
had blade knight smacking me as well. Then I just had to use my Tribe. Now
he has a light in his graveyard... Chaos anyone? He summons BLS and another
monster. He kills my Tribe, attacks again, and kills me. Didn't see that one
coming.
He had nice sleeves for his cards though ^_^

1-1.

Round 3. Mr. X VS Dexter (Anti-Goat or Dexter's Deck)

Yep, I had to go against the National Champ here. He also did pretty good at
the World Tournament as well. I think he came in 6 th place or something.
Anyway, He ran bunch of grave keeper cards and Pyramid Turtles with V-lords.
The whole match went kind of fast. I lost both of the duels, but I enjoyed
it nonetheless.

1-2. Well, that's just prime.

Round 4. Mr. X VS Gregory (Tsuki Deck)

Deja vu anyone? I faced him on round 4 from the last tourney. The results
were same. He used goat-meta-TER combo to gain control of the field. So he
wins the first duel. I won the second thanks to my Jinzo. On the 3rd duel,
he smacked my goat with Airknight, winning the 3rd duel. He wins the match.
Like I said: Deja vu

1-3. My worst score ever ~_~

So I didn't make it to the top 8 again, but this was fun. Mike. D won the
tourney and he pulled a lot of crap from the packs he won. I got some
Spiritual Fire Art cards from him though ^_^ after that, I helped out
finding cards for this guy who was making a Frog deck. After that, I helped
out Dexter searching for some commons from the TLM pile. Seems like he wants
to back sleeve some new cards. Then I hit the old dusty road to home.

Pros:
- It's been less than a week since I started collecting Spiritual Fire Art -
Kurenai's and I already have 32!
- I got to face Dex. Sure, I lost, but wanted to face him at least once in
my life.

Cons:
- I did so bad -_-
- ... Yea, I can't think of anything else...

Well, if you have any comments, questions, insults, or any threats to my
life send any e-mails to jackie_choneon@hotmail.com

- Mr. X
