Report for 8-13-05








Hey all, after vacationing and lounging around, it was time for a good tourney.
Unfortunately, it was more like a mediocre tourney.
I want to say that these reports will not be turn for turn in detail, but will be highlighted, because i dont have time to take notes during games. Sorry if this is a dissappointment.




Comic Book Craze
Garland, Tx

1st place: 3 packs

Well, my brother came today and we got there at about 11:50.
We saw the guy i helped last time i came, and he said he wondered when he would see me again, and that since ive been gone he has won the last 2 tournies. Cool. He made it obvious that it was a chaos deck he was using, so i asked if he wanted to duel me and i used my gravekeepers deck. So here is a little demo, for those who dont know how i type things.



Non-Tourney, Duel for Fun, Only one Game.



He goes first and does the whole, mof, and one card f/d.
Well, i noc it and we exchange blows, until i have him with bls in his hand, and a crappy card in defense mode, with me having necrovalley, 2gk assailint, gk spear soldier, and gk guard.

I thought i would see how good it was, and it was the average CCC with brain jacker.

We had 8 total people there and we started around 12:30




Round One: Mini Monarchs vs. Warrior



This was the tourney organizer's son. He is pretty good, but sometimes he doesnt know the correct rulings, which is fine, as long as someone or me enlightens him.



Game one:



We do the whole "closest to a" and i told him i would get "z" anyway, and lo and behold, i get "zaborg." lol
He goes first and sets a f/d monster and a f/d s/t. I summon a berserk and attack his cyber.



After the cyber, i swarmed with my monarchs and overwhelmed him, but he did get me to about 2000 with his effects and traps.
But after all that i mannaged to pull through.



Game two:



He goes first again and gets a crappy hand.
I feel bad because my hand is the complete opposite.



6400-0 GG.



*in the middle of rounds*



i dont know why, but i always finish like 10-15 mins before everyone else, so i just watched the new players, and figured out that one person uses a burn deck. I hate burn decks. More than chaos.With a passion.
I watched my brother duel, and he won 2 games to 1. Good job, bro.
Now the tourney guy calls for round two and i told myself i hope i dont face my brother.
And lo and behold...



Round Two: March of the Mini Monarchs vs. Beatdown



Crap...like i predicted earlier, i have to face my brother.



Game one:



We are guessing each other's moves, I know all of his deck, and i know what he has in his hand give or take 2 cards.



all in all
6800-0 gg.



Game two:



Repeat of game one, but shorter.



I hate playing my brother, unless its in the finals. oh well, i cant always get what i want.




Round three, Finals: March of the Mini Monarchs vs. Burn



I hate burn with a passion.



Games 1&2:



Well, both games i almost killed him with him at less than 1000, but he manages to do the lava golem, spirit reaper thing.
TER screwed me over, and i couldnt get mobius out. The des wombats did work though. go wombats!



so here are the winners:



Burn deck guy: 1st

Beatdown: 3rd (my brother)




now its time for "props & slops"



Props:

-me for placing 2nd

-me for always getting crap stuff in my packs

Well, this is a horribly dull report,but hopefully next time it will be exciting.
