=============INFO====================
Where: Time Warp Games and Comics
When: 11:00 - 2:00 ---- 4/23/05
Format: Advanced
Enterance Fee: 5 Clams
Prize: Top 3 get a store credit slip and the rest get a
"good try" slip.
System: Swiss (5 rounds)
People: 10-15 as usual. A bunch of worthy opponents.
===========DUEL 1====================
Opponent: Brian James
Deck Type: Chaos and all that jibber jabber nutter butter.
This duel came out pretty good. I forgot what happened.
Maybe because it was the first duel.
2-0-0
===========DUEL 2====================
Opponent: Zach
Deck Type: That Chaos Unoriginal Warrior Beatdown Bull
First Duel: It pretty much stunk. He used Delinquent Duo on
me, depleting my resourses. He used Magician of Faith to
keep bringing it back. Soo I ran out of resources. I was
topdecking while he had a freaking 5 card hand with a
dominating field. My Swords of Revealing Light wear off and
he hits me for game.
Second Duel: Alas... Revenge! I use Delinquent Duo on him
and use Magician of Faith to re-use the duo and I crush his
resources and the rest of his life points with my Phoenix.
Now he admits trading my binder for the phoenix was a good
idea. Deja Vu!
Third Duel: Kind of like first, but less brutal. He hits me
with Vampire Lords. OI cannot get rid of them as he just
blows me away with them. Good game, my friend!
1-2-0
===================DUEL 3===========
Opponent: Arian
Deck Type: Skull Servant Deck... Of course not, more chaos.
The Duels: In the practice duels with him, I won. I lost now
though. In the first duel, he summons the damned envoy and
jacks it up with United We Stand. I use Cylinders and Ring
on the Envoy and slowly wiped off his life points.
Though he did get revenge in the next duels. He sacrificed
his envoy the next time for Silent Swordsman... I draw a
handful of magic and monsters which do me no good. I lost.
1-2-0
==========================DUEL 4====
Opponent: Hadid
Deck Type: Chaos / Burn / Phoenix
We were going to face each other because we had time left,
but then round 4 came in. I realized I had to duel him
anyway. His first move he used graceful charity and then
barrel/ring/blade knight combo to hit me for 4000. Then he
summoned BLS and I used Bottomless on it. Almost won! Ouch,
but at least he was losing his card advantage. Reapers and
my Captain Don Zaloog were keeping his hand nice and low. I
summon the Phoenix. Not to good to be topdecking when up
with Nephytus. He drew Swords of Revealing Light. Lucky him!
He holds me for a few turns and gets his act together. I
still beat him anyway. Next duel, Don and Reaper ate his
hand, Phoenix hurts him, and I finished him sort of like the
last duel.
====A PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTURBANCE========
Some guy was talking about me cheating with Hadid and my
deck just getting lucky and he got all cocky saying he can
beat me along with insulting me, so I decided to duel him to
show who is the real man.
Opponent:
Deck Type: He said it could beat me. It had zero wins so
far. He has gearfried the gearfried family, silent swordsman
family, strike ninja, BLS. Stick with a theme!
He got out BLS, Swordmaster, and ect which I easily beat. He
wasted his resources doing so and I attacked with Reapers
and Don to shut down his hand. He has no hand and few cards
on the field and I have a 5 card hand along with a good
field. He topdecks a few Wabokus and Draining Sheilds, but
when he just couldn't topdeck well, I crushed him.
1-0-0
========= D U E L / 5 ===================
There was a long break. I didn't even know they would have a
5th round. Oh well... If I win, then it will raise my
ranking which is cool.
Opponent: Jason
Deck Type: Equipped Up Warriors
He opens up with a Blade Knight allied by Sword of the
Dragons soul. My Cyber Jar pulls me through. I get my
Captain out... Yay Donald, which he numerously destroys and
I revive. He is topdecking and draws nothing good for both
matches. I heart Don Zaloog.
=========== CONCLUSION ===============
Some guy laid out cards on the table for the public to
take... some actually useful, so I took them. I got 2
Vampire Lords after the tournament in the mail, so expect
them in my deck next week and a Berserk Gorilla before the
tournament and I am getting another one in the mail which
will be in my deck. I came in 6th place. What the? I faired
worse than last week. Maybe because there is a better crowd
this week.
Pros
Having Fun
Getting a few new cards
Seeing my deck flow better than I thought
Cons
Getting 6th place, but the top 5 are really good so why
complain
Next weeks tournament will feature my Revival Deck which I
hope will do
better. Good night realms and always be happy duelists.
