Before the tourney, I paid my $5 to enter and bought the Bounder that you see in the decklist. I also decided to go over to the dark side and actually use Waboku, and it surprisingly paid off for me. Anyway, let's get to it.

Round 1
vs. Alex Gonzalez (Warrior/Chaos/control)

Duel 1
This kid's deck is good, with all the Dons, DD's and his exiled, all of which he can fetch with RotA. He went first and fetched a DD with RotA, set it, and ended. I used Change of Heart, summoned Tribe, hit him for 3100, killed off DD, and ended. He somehow killed Tribe and hit me for 500. I Prematured Tribe, cleared his field, attacked directly, and set Waboku. He summoned Scientist, paid 1000 for Senshi, and attacked into Waboku. He didn't pay and ended, then I just attacked his Scientist for 1300. I don't remember how it ended, but I think it involved me summoning a bunch of monsters.
Me 8000/7500/6700/5700/4700
Alex 8000/4900/3300/2300/1000/0

Duel 2
He killed me with opening hand Duo and such. His only damage was from the Duo and his own Premature.
Me 8000/6100/2800/0
Alex 8000/7000/6200

Duel 3
This was a total massacre. He ended up Yata-locking me, and although I was going to play it out, it only lasted for a few turns because he got BLS out.
Me 8000/7800///0
Alex 8000/7000/6200/5400

Result: L, 1-2
So far: 1-2

Round 2
vs. Jason (n00b)

Duel 1
Before the tourney, I had an opportunity to scout Jason. His deck was about 70-80 cards, all in cool-looking sleeves. Cool sleeves didn't save him, though.
Me 8000/7000/6000/5000
Jason 8000/7000/6500/6200/3300/0

Duel 2
This was also a massacre, but I honestly can't and don't want to remember this match.
Me 8000/7900/6900
Jason 8000/4600/5600/3700/1800/0

Result: W, 2-0
So far: 3-2

Round 3
vs. Geoff (beatdown/Exodia)

Duel 1
This guy is one of the saddest excuses for a duelist in the history of dueling. He has this gay little n00b posse consisting of a couple of 8-year-olds, and they told me I was going to be defeated. In the several matches I've played against Geoff in the past, he's only beaten me in 1 game, and that was because of my mistake. Anyway, this game went on forever with my Spirit Reaper and Sinister Serpent hitting him a bunch, and he ended up losing all of the pieces but the head.
Me 8000/7000/6900/6600/6400/4300/3300
Geoff 8000/7700/7100/6500/6200/5900/5600/6100/4000/4500/1500/2000/0

Duel 2
I attacked his face-down Nimble with my DD early on and removed it. He said I couldn't do that, and that Nimble's effect still happened. Josh overruled him, and Geoff quit the tourney right there, giving the guys he hadn't played yet automatic wins. It's a pity, too; he'd already beaten Carlos, and he could have take Jason easily. He would have got 4th in the group. Not that it would have meant anything...
Me 8000/7200
Geoff 8000/forfeit

Result: W, 2-0
So far: 5-2

Round 4
vs. Josh (Chaos)

Duel 1
Before the match, I told him I needed to beat him or I'd be screwed. He said he needed to win at least one game against me, or he was screwed. So I offered to throw the first game if he'd throw the next 2. He didn't agree, and I ended up beating him 2-1 anyway.
Me 8000/6500/4900/4100/3100/2500/3500
Josh 8000/7000/5500/5200/3200/1400/0

Duel 2
I think he Yata-locked me, but I had him on the ropes for a while before that.
Me 8000/7000/6600/5800/5600/5400/3700/3500/2300/0
Josh 8000/7000/5600/4200/2400/2100/1900

Duel 3
I won by blowing up CED. That brought him straight from 2800 to 0.
Me 8000/6400/4900/3900
Josh 8000/7000/8000/6600/5800/4200/4900/3400/3200/3000/2800/0

Result: W, 2-1
So far: 7-3

Round 5
vs. Carlos (n00b)

Duel 1
This guy's deck was like Jason's, but with fewer crappy tributes and no sleeves. He knew the rules better, too.
Me 8000/7000/4000
Carlos 8000/5000/3900/2800/0

Duel 2
Not a chance.
Me 8000
Carlos 8000/6400/1150/0

Result: W, 2-0
So far: 9-3

So I got 2nd in my group behind Josh (9-2), but Bill acidentally counted my record as 9-2, and since I beat Josh head-to-head, that meant that I got 1st. That didn't make my path to victory any easier, though.

Quarterfinals
vs. Enrique (control)

Duel 1
I drew the worst hand ever, and he got Blowback and Jinzo out in the same turn. Can you say 0wned?
Me 8000/3300/900/0
Enrique 8000/7200

Duel 2
In the face of elimination, I never back down, especially not against Enrique. I swear, every time he beats me in the first game, I win the match.
Me 8000/7000/6600/5200/3500
Enrique 8000/6600/3700/300/0

Duel 3
Can't remember this one at all.
Me 8000/7000/6500/5800/5000/4900
Enrique 8000/6400/2500/0

Result: W, 2-1
So far: 11-4

Semifinals
vs. Mitch (Chaos/beatdown/other stuff)

Duel 1
Mitch has always run a pretty weird deck, yet he's been one of Primetime's elite for qutie some time now. I don't see how he can be considered elite when he runs Stone Statue of the Aztecs and Gear Golem AND Goblin Attack Force AND Slate Warrior AND Needle Worm all in a Chaos deck. Seriously, since when does that work? Alas, he caught me off guard this time...
Me 8000/7000/5200/1900/1800/400/0
Mitch 8000/6800/5100/3300/4300/2600

Duel 2
CED got him this time, I think.
Me 8000/5500/4500
Mitch 8000/6700/3600/1900/0

Duel 3
I had him topdecking, and I had Jinzo, BLS, and Sinister all in face-up ATK. He had nothing in hand and nothing on the field. He drew Painful. I gave him Change of Heart, and he gets and removes my BLS. Can you say game over?
Me 8000/7200/6900/4600
Mitch 8000/7700/5400/2500/0

Result: W, 2-1
So far: 13-5

Finals (or so I thought...)
vs. Matt (Chaos)

Duel 1
I can't remember, so I'll let you guys fill in the blanks by looking at the life totals again.
Me 8000/6500/5000/3500
Matt 8000/5900/1000/2000/500/0

Duel 2
CED dealt him 5700 damage, then I finished him off.
Me 8000/7000
Matt 8000/2300/0

Result: W, 2-0
So far: 15-5

So I though I had own the tourney, then I found out I had to run the gauntlet against the junior champ, who I had swept once before. Maybe I could do it again...

The REAL Finals
vs. ? (Chaos)

Duel 1
He lets me go 2nd, I have an opening hand Duo. XD Anyway, some stuff happened and I won with BLS, despite his Amazoness Swordswoman. *coughn00bcough*
Me 8000/7000/5800/4300
? 8000/7200/6200/3300/2500/0

Duel 2
I told him I drew the worst hand ever. He said go ahead and play yur worst hand ever, you're going first. And what did I have? Another Duo in my first hand. Boy, am I sneaky. XD
Me 8000/7000/6400
? 8000/5800/3000/0

Result: W, 2-0
Final Record: 17-5

After the tourney, I found out that Cody had recently quit. To Cody, if you are reading this: we had some good times, man. Keep on truckin' and such.

Anyway, with my $15 store credit, all I could get for my post-ban deck that I'm making was a Solemn Judgment. Sure, it was 1st edition, but $15? I ordered 1 Torrential Tribute, 1 TER, and 2 Ryu Senshis over the internet for $14.50, and that includes S&H. Maybe I should shop around more...
