So I had already won the previous tourney, and Bill said he had bought trophies which would be given weekly to tourney winners starting this week. If that isn't enough incentive to win, I don't know what is. Also, enjoy this tourney report; it'll be my last. I just got tired of doing these. I am by no means quitting YGO, though.

I came into the tourney optimistic, hoping that I could coast to victory like I had last week. Before it started, I paid $3 of my store credit from last week to get 3 1st Edition Thunder Dragons, leaving me with $13 left. I spent that on a Levia Dragon, but not until after the tourney. Anyway, let's go.

Round 1
vs. J.K. (Exodia)

Duel 1
Out of the 3 people that play Exodia here, I would say this guy's deck is the most focused by far. He has plenty of thinning cards, and he thinned a lot against me in this first game. However, he sort of ran out of monsters to put down and he had to set an Exodia piece (I had seen it in his hand). I removed it with D.D. Warrior Lady, and from there I beat him down.
Me 8000//9000//8600//6800
J.K. 8000//6400//5300//6300//4100//5100//100//0

Duel 2
My Magical Merchant discarded CED during this game. Also, I declared a tribute and tributed D.D. Warrior Lady to summon Jinzo. He activated Jar of Greed, and the judge agreed with him that Jar could be activated on the grounds that I took DD off the field before putting Jinzo on, even though that's how it's supposed to be; you send the monster you wish to tribute to the grave, then you play the tribute summoned monster to the table. Once again, our judge who hasn't even played YGO for about 3 months now screws up. It didn't matter, though.
Me 8000//7800
J.K. 8000//7800//6000//7000//6600//1700//2700//0

Result: W, 2-0
Overall: 2-0

Round 2
vs. Josh (Chaos/beatdown)

Duel 1
Josh has a fairly unusual Chaos/beatdown build to his deck, but it beat me 2-1 in the first round of a single elimination tourney 2 weeks before, so I had to have my guard up. In this duel, that wasn't hard to do, although it was pretty close.
Me 8000//7200//5800//2800//1800
Josh 8000//7000//6400//3400//1900//900//0

Duel 2
I was about to win, but he Ring'd his Nyan Nyan for a tie.
Me 8000//6200//4500//2700//2500//1500//1400//0
Josh 8000//7200//5200//5100//4100//3000//1200//100//0

Duel 3
I beat him pretty badly, but I can't remember how.
Me 8000//7000//5200//3500//2800
Josh 8000//6200//4500//2700//0

Result: W, 2-0-1
Overall: 4-0-1

Round 3
vs. Andrew (beatdown)

Duel 1
He had a pretty outdated budget beat, so it wasn't hard at all to win it.
Me 8000//7000//8000
Andrew 8000//3400//4400//3500//0

Duel 2
This wasn't hard, either. I took aa bunch of damage, but I Yata-locked him.
Me 8000//6100//4200
Andrew 8000//9000//7100//6900//4800//2700//0

Result: W, 2-0
Overall: 6-0-1

Round 4
vs. Enrique (Chaos/beatdown)

Duel 1
Enrique was doing slightly better than me so far at 6-0, and the winner of this match would advance to the quarterfinals. The loser would be out. For this duel, I lost, but it was close. Both of us pulled out early pre-negators and other things, but he just did better than me.
Me 8000//7000//6200//2800//2400//1400//300//0
Enrique 8000//7000//6200//4700//3100//2200

Duel 2
This was very close, but I won by Ringing his Skilled Dark Magician. I just had 200 LP to spare, too.
Me 8000//4800//4000//2100//200
Enrique 8000//7000//5500//3600//1600//1400//0

Duel 3
As has happened so often in my previous matches with Enrique, I lost the first and won the next two. This one was in blowout fashion. We were both topdecking, and I just topdecked D.D. Warrior Ladies. Meanwhile, he drew nothing, and I kept attacking directly. My last attack would not have been possible but for the amazing topdeck of Confiscation to kill his Kuriboh.
Me 8000//9000//8000
Enrique 8000//6500//5000//2000//0

Result: W, 2-1
Overall: 8-1-1

Round 5 (Quarterfinals)
vs. David F. (Chaos/control)

Duel 1
I have seen few true Chaos/control builds, but this deck is definitely a fair example of one. Anyway, in this one, I just beat him down by being able to search with my searchers a lot thanks to my revival cards and his Exiled Force. One of my searches was for Yata, and that was the game.
Me 8000//7000//6600
David 8000//7200//5600//4800//4600////0

Duel 2
It was close in the beginning. Then he used Heavy Storm, and my only down card was Call of the Haunted. I used it on Jinzo, and he couldn't touch me after that. Take THAT, naysayers of Jinzo.
Me 8000//7200//6900//6600
David 8000//7900//5200//3200//800//0

Result: W, 2-0
Overall: 10-1-1

Round 6 (Semifinals)
vs. Jared (Chaos/beatdown)

Duel 1
He left his Spirit Reaper in attack mode for too long, and I made him pay. He would have won if I hadn't used Scapegoat, though.
Me 8000//6700//5400//4000//3200
Jared 8000//5600//4800//3900//2900//1400//0

Duel 2
This wasn't even close. I just couldn't hit him at all.
Me 8000//7000//6100//2100//400//0
Jared 8000//5300//6300//5600//3900

Duel 3
I just whittled away at his hand and his LP, then Yata-locked him at the end.
Me 8000//7000//6000
Jared 8000//6200//2600//700////0

Result: W, 2-1
Overall: 12-2-1

Round 7 (Finals)
vs. Jeremy (Chaos/beatdown)

Duel 1
I just beat him down with BLS. He used Tribe to take it out, but I brought it back, and that was it. I think I Yata-locked him, too.
Me 8000//6400//6300
Jeremy 8000//4800//200//0

Duel 2
He elected to go first and set a monster. I Change of Hearted it, then used Graceful to discard a Light and a Dark in order to summon CED. I then tribute his monster (a Cyber Jar) for Jinzo, attacked directly for 5400, and nuked for the rest. Game, set, match.
Me 8000//7000
Jeremy 8000//2600//0

Result: W, 2-0
Overall: 14-2-1

And so, it was first place again. In my prize packs, I pulled a bunch of crap, except for a Horus LV4. I also got a trophy for winning. Anyway, my last props and slops...

Pr0ps

-to all the fallen legends of Primetime: Garrett, Cody, Robbie, and James. May they rest in peace.

-to Bill for holding the tourneys.

-to everybody for some awesome duels.

sl0ps

-to those people who call a Yata-lock a Yata-bind. That's just... dumb...
