Total (45)

Fusions: Everything

Only about half of the total entrants participated in the Advanced tournament.  My first match was against a guy named J.P. who used a Kaiba-Style deck.

Match One—Me (Chaos Control) v. J.P. (Kaiba Duelist Kingdom Deck)

Round One:

Basically this round Kycoo and Breaker pummeled him.  The only damage I took was a first turn Kycoo attacking a Wall of Illusion.

Me=8000-7950

J.P.=8000-6200-4400-2500-900-600-0

Round Two:

He got some L.P. advantage with some early attacks when I had a bad hand.  I got out Mobius, and he dark holed.  Later on, I got out Jinzo and BLS for the win.

Me=8000-7800-7700-7600-6000-5000

J.P.=8000-7400-5000-2000-0

My next opponent was a guy I had never seen before at the tournaments.  He ran sort of a chaosy- beatdown without the chaos monsters.  He also played Traditional, but I had to face him…with my consent.

Match Two—Me v. Jordan (Beatdown)

Round One:

Mobius came out second turn, destroying his cylinder and dust tornado.  It went downhill for him from there

Me=8000-7000-6000-5000

Jordan=8000-5600-3200-2900-500-0

Round Two:

He got some small early hits on me with Mad Dog and Spear Dragon.  Once I got out Jinzo it was all over.

Me=8000-7500-7100-

Jordan=8000-7000-6500-6000-4200-1800-0

My next opponent, who I had faced many times before, likes to abuse Blowback by using his magical coin which lands on tails once in every 190000 flips.  Errr.

Match Three—Me v. Dolan (Control)

Round One:

I got out Jinzo with a Painful-Premie combo first turn along with Breaker.  Breaker smashed his monster, and Jinzo smashed him directly.  Next turn he snatched Breaker, broke Premie, and hit me directly.  In his following turn, I used Raigeki Break to destroy Snatch.  He used Exiled to boomstick Breaker, and we go into top-deck mode.  Later I win with three Shining Angel direct attacks.

Me=8000-6400-7400-6400

Dolan=8000-5600-3700-2300-900-0

Round Two:

Dolan snatches my monster and tributes it for his signature monster Blowback Dragon.  With its effect, he destroys my Cyber Jar, Shining Angel, Torrential, and Swords-oRL.  Yeah I lost….

Me=8000-7000-4700-2400-200-0

Dolan=8000-7400

Round Three:

I go first, set D.D.WL.  He summons Exiled Force, sets a m/t, and ends.  I draw, turn D.D to attack, and attack Exiled.  He responds with Interdimensional Matter Transporter.  His turn, he sacs it for…yeah. Blowback -which nukes my D.D.  On my turn, I play shallow grave on D.D. he gets Exiled Force, and I creature swap.  He gives me Exiled, and I nuke Blowback.  I end up snatching my own D.D. back and tribute it for Jinzo and bring out BLS for game.

Me=8000-7000-4700-3200

Dolan=8000-6500-4100-0 (woot!)

This next match was against an opponent my friend likes to call burn kid.  “Burn Kid” aka Nick, played my friend the first match three tournaments in a row, and beat him every time.  Now it was my chance to try out my deck against a burner, and GET REVENGE!

Match Four—Me v. Burn Kid

Round One:

He got out some stall cards, but my first turn Painful/Premie combo on Horus LV6 put an end to those crappy stall magics.

Me=8000-7200

Burn Kid=8000-5000-2600-300-0

Round Two:

This one was way more difficult.  It was extremely close the entire match, however, in the end Mobius, Horus LV6, and BLS proved to be a combo he could not handle.

Me=8000-6200-5900-4900-4200

Burn Kid=8000-6200-6100-5000-4900-4800-4100-1800-1700-1400-2400-2300-0

Final Time

I had to play a kid who was running an extraordinarily fast and well built Last Turn deck.  Burn Kid had the option of playing him or me in the semis, and he chose me L.

Match Five: Final Round—Me v. Nick (Last Turn)

Round One:

He decides to go first.  I draw, he activates wall of revealing light, paying 7000.  He responds to himself with Self Destruct Button!

Me=8000-0

Nick=8000-1000-0

Round Two:

I played confiscation first turn, destroying his strategy and nuking wall of revealing light.  I used Mobius to destroy Messenger of Peace, and attacked for game.

Me=8000-7000-5400

Nick=8000-4000-0

Round Three:

Pressed for time, we were supposed to rush the match, we had other plans.  I confiscated first turn again on his Jowgen.  He reloaded his entire hand, played upstart goblin, some stall, and set a creature.  Tribe attacked his creature, a spirit reaper, which I tossed reload to kill.  He sets another spirit reaper next turn, and I toss creature swap to kill it.  In the end Horus pulled out a W by slipping around his Level Limit Area B.

Me=8000-9000-8000

Nick=8000-7200-3600-1200-0

I win.
