Round one: Trinam vs. beatdown-kid This kid, upon seeing me get there and sign up at LITERALLY the last minute, asked the lady if he could forefit. I kid you not. When she said no, he looked at me, and said in all disgust, 'I HAD THE BYE!' Well, he played OK, I guess, using a Change of Heart to deal me the only damage I took. I kept returning his monsters to his hand, and he was Exodia'd about... five turns into the duel. Me: 8000->3800 Him:8000->Exodia'd! Round two: I got the Bye. I decided to goof off until round three, and ended up talking to the one other exodia-user... Then the listings were called. Round three: Trinam vs. ...A deck. I don't remember much of this duel, merely that I drew my opening hand and laughed maniacally. It was -that good.- He got exodia'd, quite literally, on turn three. Me:8000 Him:8000->Exodia'd! Round four: Trinam vs. luck deck This guy was all tricked out in using coin flips, and second coin tosses from what I'd seen, but luck was against him today... His Time Wizard backfired on him, and I ended up exodia'ing on turn ten. Me:8000->7500 Him:8000->7750->Exodia'd! Round five: Trinam vs. Richboy. This kid played a beatdown, pure and simple... and for that matter, he was topdecking gold, pulling out every last card necessary to kill what I had as his... very next card! Crossouting a footballer, CoH'ing a Wall of Illusion, and Magic Draining my Painful Choice. Sadly, had I stayed alive one more turn, the game was mine. Me:8000->4200->400->x.X Him:8000->7950->ALMOST Exodia'd! For getting second place, I won a promotional Buster Blader, Dark Necrophear, Necrovalley, and Machine King. And everyone there said that they now officially hated me. ...I'd say I did my job pretty well. -- Questions? Comments? Deck help? Hate mail? Send it to me at kwikkidus@knology.net.
