Coming off a great week at my last tournament, I had high hopes. There were around 35 people today, and they did Swiss style for two rounds, and based on how you did, you made it to the top 10, or you didnt. Round 1 Me Vs. Gravity Bind Deck The first duel went very well for me. I Nobleman of Extermination his gravity binds, so he was basically screwed. He never touched my life points, as Jinzo and Vampire Lord came out and dominated. 8000-0. The second duel didnt go so well. His lava golem did some damage as did his three wave motion cannons. He MoF his Wave Motion Cannon, and despite bringing his life points down to 4500 early, with Mad Dog etc, his Wave Motion beat me. The third duel was very tough. He got out his gravity binds early, but I was able to destroy them with Mystical Space Typhoons. I got his life points down to 5700, but his first two wave motion cannons brought me down to 4000, and lava golem got me down to 1000. He, in fact, got me down to 100 life points. It seemed over when he lava golemed me again, and played Wave Motion, but I tributed it for Great Maju, who was now at 6000. The guy had no cards on the field, I thought I had him, but he discarded Kuriboh. So, I lost the match. Round 2 Me vs. Easy guy; theres still hope for me. This guy won his first game, which meant if I beat him, and the guy I lost to won, my chances of making the cut were good. The first duel went pretty quickly. The Jinzo made his mark early and often, with the help of Giant Orc. The second duel was very easy. He had no monsters, so basically, it was over in a matter of turns. Archfiends and Mad Dogs did the trick this time. Everthing looked good, right now, but, the guy who beat me, lost his match by 500 life points. Alas, I didnt make the cut, but its ok.
