Hey, this is my first tourney report. Decided to do one after having an 
awesome day with my deck.

It was a free tourney at Books-A-Million, and about 16 people were there. We 
did a swiss-format pre-ban.

Pre-tourney: I arrived just in time so I don't get a 0-1 starting record. 
New kids at the game arrived and entered the tourney. I saw John whom I 
haven't seen in awhile. This guy you want to avoid if you talk about Dark 
Magician Girl. He almost broke my arm off for a Japanese version! There was 
also Rick, a level one judge who made the most effective dream clown deck 
that can beat chaos! Oh, well. Let the battle begin!

Duel one- Chris vs. Steve
Steve was a worker at the place. He, like Rick, mixes up each week with his 
theme. This week he had a control deck. Well, I was about to control him. 
(bad oun, I know) Anyway, things started out okay. Went first, I drew and 
got beautiful burner cards. I set a waboku and set a ufo turtle. He draws, 
attacks my monster so I get Solar Flare Dragon. My turn, I set Stealth Bird 
and gravity bind. Next, he attacks but I activate g-bind. Following that, I 
lava golem him combined with the bird and dragon down to 0 lp. He had Jinzo 
for a while but I dark holed it and continued.

Steve:8000-0 (burned)

Duel two-Chris vs. Michell
Never got a chance since he never called out for the roster. I win by 
default.

record:2-0

Duel three-Chris vs. burner kid
My next opponent was a kid with a burner deck like mine, except his was 
stall style while mine was beatdown style. I go first, summon solar flare 
dragon and waboku. He set a monster and m/t. My turn I sacked dragon for 
Jinzo and beat down his faith, which he got nothing. Next, he activates 
level B area which is VERY annoying and stops my Jinzo attacks. No matter, I 
just got stealth bird and flipped again and again and again followed by lava 
golem help. His last defense was his own flare dragon, but I 
creature-swapped it with my Jinzo and destroyed him.

Duel four-Sister of kid who practically stole my DMG
I thought this was going to be tough, because she usually beats me. No 
today. I go first, lay down the turtle and waboku and end turn. She did 
fancy tricks with her Jinzo and premature burial, but I countered that with 
the solar flare lockdown next turn. Then lava golem came out to play along 
with gravity bind. Turns later, she drew a cyber jar, but already summoned. 
I used Ante with my Jinzo and sent that jar to the grave. One turn later, 
she was lava golemed.

Semi-Finals-Chris vs. Chaos Control
Ugh. Another Chaos. This one didn't turn out so well. I coudn't get nothing 
and got clobbered by his Luster Soldier and DD Warrior Lady. I lost big 
time.

Me:8000-0 (Beatdown hard)
Him:8000-7500-6000

record: Didn't matter since it was semi-finals. Got knocked out.

Post-tourney:Chris vs. Alex
After the tourney, I decided to challenge Alex to a match. I beat him twice, 
then came the third. I was owning as usual, but the most unusual thing was 
that he snatched steal my Jinzo, then I creature swapped. Didn't know who 
gained the lp, but I did too much damage to care. I won all three duels. 
Yes!

-Steve for getting into the finals even though he has the SAME record as me
-chaos decks, luckily we're playing ban list next week so less annoying

-Losing the tourney, duh
-Tourney being only 2 hours
-price of booster packs
