Alright, this is my first tournament report and I happen to be making it on a good day.

My deck, named after my brand spanking new breaker the magical warrior since he came through in this, his first

appearance for me, honorable mention to vampire lord in his first appearance for me.  It's kind of a beatdown hand disruption deck.

Yea, It's not much, but it's mine, and it works from time to time.

Before the tourney some wierd guy came up and offered me a whole stack of AST cards for ten bucks!  I did it not knowing where they came from and didn't really care.  I got a blowback dragon, Spirit of the Pharoh, Sanctuary in the Sky, Stone statue of the aztecs and a bunch of other rares.

Onto the tourney.

I faced some kid named Caleb first.

He asked if I was a n00b for some reason, I dunno if I come across as one, but I've been playing since first edition metal raiders, he flinched from that.

Now the duel:

Me:  8000-7000-5700-5300-4200

Him:  8000-7700-6400-6100-4700-3300-1300-xxxx

Yea, I took a 1000 for duo and a mataza smack and that was really all from his end.

I hit him for a few little things, I remember pulling breaker off.  Him put an axe on tribe and attacked a monster for some damage, next turn I summon breaker and break the axe, ram the the tribe and hide behind my reaper for a turn.

the last two attacks came from vampire lord, he was top decking and he top decked a raigeki, he didn't know vampire lord would just come back and it didn't matter.  I won

I took several hits from mataza directly, that hurt, I remeber defending against a bazoo which seemed out of place in what looked like a gravity bind deck.  I ended up ramming it at 1600 with a breaker just like tribe.  I kept his hand empty and waited until vampire lord came out.  3 attacks directly with vampire lord and he was done.

He said his deck was off today.

Alright next round.

I faced a cool guy named steve who was playing the only chaos deck there.

Him:  8000-7400-7300-6300-4700-3900-2000-1800-1300

Dang, Royal decree got me.  I was at 4100 and he was at 2000, I call of the haunted my berserk, nothing, I activate ring of destruction and royal decree.  He stops my attack too with a face down monster!  Dang, in a few turns he brings out chaos dragon and attack for the win.

Him:  8000-6300-4900-3500-2700-2700-800-xxxx

One of us ringed his reflect bounder, we exchange blows for a while, in the end we were both top decking and he top decks a change of heart while I've got 600, he's got 800.  He takes my face down reaper and attacks for 300, I top deck vampire lord, game.

Me:  8000-7700-6700-4800-5800-4800-5800-2800-2600-2400-2200-2000-1800-xxxx

Him:  8000-7700-6900-5000

He got the dragon out and yata.  He just had to keep attacking my face down sinister serpent.  The bugger was that I had Torrential Tribute down the whole time and he had royal decree out.  I made him play it out to see if he'd be stupid enough to destroy his royal decree, he wasn't.

Next match:

I faced a kid named Scott, I've dueled him before and he's alright.

Him:  8000-7200-7100-5700-4100-2700-1300-xxxx

Yea, I took 100 at some point when breaker hit a defense mode skilled dark magician.  I took damage here and there and just beat him down with breaker and maybe tribe too, I can't really remember all of it.

Him:  8000-6600-5800-3400-2000-600-xxxx

Tomatoes were hitting him here and there.  I think Jinzo may have popped out; I won fairly easily.

I had to face steve again for second or third, we were both 2-1

He snatched something and I eventually beat him.  Duels with this guy take forever, he thinks a lot and he is really good.  Breaker got some hits in as did tomato.

Him:  8000-5600-4800-2400-3400

Oh man, I had him, I was ready to drop it down on him and he turned everything around, took my jinzo and smaced me around.  That sucked.

Yea, I won.  We were going back and forth forever.  He had something face down at the end and I was being cautious, tuned out to be that royal decree.  Nothing that could've stopped my onslaught of tomatoes.

So I got second.

I got 5 dollars store credit, used it and 2 bucks to get two packs of AST, got a emmissary of the afterlife, I traded it and something else for reload and riryoku.  I traded blowback dragon for don zaloog.

Good night overall, I got second against a couple of decent people.
