Well, after being grounded for about 3 months, I finally was able to duel again, so I went to my usual dueling place and here’s the breakdown of the day…

So, there’s what I competed with.
Now, on to what happened
I got there about 1 hour before the tournament was supposed to start, so I hung around until some more people showed up. Finally, 4 people I knew started a tag-team duel which I watched 3 rounds of. Then, I finally found someone to duel.
Practice duel.
Me vs. Some kid with a deck(Can’t really classify it…)
Duel 1.
I started and had a pretty good hand. He really couldn’t keep anything on the field, so I eventually got him in a Yata-Lock…
Duel 2
He started, and I started with an ok hand, but somehow, I couldn’t draw any of my beatdown cards, so I lost.
Duel 3.
I started, and Had a few Drop Offs for him and once again, he couldn’t keep much on the board, so I slowly drained him of Lifepoints.
Finally, after the 1st round was over, I had a bye, I got matched up…
Round 2(remember, I had a bye the 1st Round)
Duel 1
Me vs. Devin with an Amazoness Deck.
First of all, he’s pretty good and I figured I’d end up losing, but I played through and here’s how it went.
I started off and got A good hand. Started with Pot of Greed and Set 2 M/T and a monster. Then he went and I played Drop Off and dropped a MST and he MST’ed my fd RoD. So then he proceeded and destroyed my fd which was witch and I got something. Later on, after the Amazoness Swords Women, I got some monster on him and won.
Duel 2
He started and I had a good hand again, but he had a better one and I couldn’t manage up enough monsters to win, so he beat me.
Duel 3
I started and set some stuff and a monster and he went. He managed to destroy my fd Newdoria without battle, so the effect didn’t work. Later, when we were neck and neck, he had an Amazoness Tiger and then he summoned Amazoness Swords Woman and he atked. Then I played Mirror Force. He had only 1 set mt. Then I went and could only set a mt, and he went and passed. I played Witch and he destroyed it with Mirror Force and I got Gemini. Then he summoned an monster and attacked and I then summon Gemini and played Raigeki and won.
Waited a few minutes and then it was the Top 4…
Round 3 Me vs. Anthony with a beatdown deck.
Duel 1
I started and had an ok hand and set a monster and he went. Later on, we hand hardly and cards in hand, and he managed to summon Don Zaloog with an Axe and he attacked and I dropped Kuriboh. Then I drew Creature swap and I had Tomato in my hand, so I took his Don and He took Tomato and I attacked him and Then I summoned Witch and Attacked him again. Then he destroyed my stuff and he set a mt. I get Gemini and summoned and won.
Duel 2
He started and we both had good hands. But he kept me from getting to him and I lost. But for fun, I prematured Exiled with 100lp’s left and had a set mt. Tribute exiled off to destroy his monster. He summoned Spear Dragon and played Harpies Duster and I played Ring of Destruction and lost… hehe
Duel 3
This one was funny. I started and set 2 mt and a monster. Then I Dropped off his MST and he destroyed my Torrential. Then he proceeded to destroy my fd Witch. Later, I Dropped off another MST, but I had no fd mt. So then, I was able to use Call of the Haunted and get back Airknight and Summon Gemini and win.
Waited a long time for the Final Round…
Final Round Me vs. Colby with a Beatdown Deck and top duelist in the store.
Duel 1
He started and Set 2 mt and summoned Gemini and ended. I played HFD and Destroyed his TT and Mirror Force. Then I played Raigeki and then Pot of Greed and Summoned Gemini and atked. Later on, I had a set mt and he went and I dropped off his MST and had no fd mt. Then he summoned Luster Dragon and attacked me. At the end, I got rid of his hand and Attacked with Gemini for the win.
Duel 2
He started and had almost the same hand as last duel. He did something and ended. So I played Confiscation and then Forceful and proceeded to set some mt and set a monster. He summoned Luster and I played Torrential and he played 7 tools. He attacked and destroyed my Newdoria and I destroyed his other monster. Later, he summoned some monster and attacked and won.
Duel 3
I started and got a good hand and Was able to drop off a MST and then later, I had him down quite a bit. So I played Duo and confiscation and got rid of most of his cards. Then I played Call of the Haunted on Airknight, Premature on Gemini and Summoned Yata and I won!
I got 1st Place
Colby got 2nd
Anthony got 3rd because the guy who Colby beat left without dueling Anthony for 3rd place. That’s why Im not sure on the prizes for 3rd and 4th place.
So no one placed 4th…
