Comic Town - Westerville, OH December 28th, 2003 28 Yu-Gi-Oh! nuts attending 12 players 12-14, 12 players 14-18, 4 players over 20 Prizes: 1st: 4 TP packs 2nd: 2 TP packs My Deck: Recon Death Squad 2x Marauding Captain 3x Goblin Attack Force 3x Gearfried the Iron Knight 2x DD Warrior Lady 2x Don Zaloog 1x Witch of the Black Forest 1x Sangan 1x Cyber Jar 6x Weapons of Mass Destruction (Heavy in for CoH) 1x Graceful Charity 3x Fusion Sword Murasame Blade 3x Mystical Space Typhoon 3x The Warrior Returning Alive 2x Reinforcement of the Army 3x Smoke Gernade of the Thief 1x Imperial Order 1x Call of the Haunted 3x Blast with Chain 1x Ring of Destruction 1st Round: BYE! Whoooo! Finally I get a break! 2nd Round: Me vs Cody Cody plays a mean Beatdown. He was un-prepared for Warrior Disruption. His V-Lord, Helpomer and Ha Des were all rendered quite useless. Game 1: I won with 2250 LP left Game 2: I won with 2300 LP left 3rd Round: Me vs. Jordan Jordan won last week, and beat my boy in the process. I told him revenge was what I lived for :) BTW, Jordan is 17 or so, very smart and has a NICE disruption deck. Game 1: He thought I was playing Exodia and I beat him in 6 turns. -- massive side-decking by Jordan Game 2: He Yata locked me (him@2300 me@7800). He had V-Lord on the field and Snatched my GAF. After 3 turns I gave in. Game 3: He had me beat down to 3300 (he was at 6600). I got The Captain Lock and beat him to death with GAF and a Gearfried+FSMB. 2 mistakes ended it for him: He tried to snatch-steal my Gearfried and he tried to MST my Fusion Sword Murasame Blade. 4th Round(semi's): Me vs. Matt Matt's about 16 or so, nice Beatdown deck and he's pretty good. Game 1: I beat him in 6 turns. Again, he wasn't ready for Warrior Disruption: SGotT and BwC owned him. Game 2: I beat him senseless in about 4 turns. He Heavy Stormed my MoN for me. 5th Round(finals): Me vs. Wiley He's over 20, good player but he had a HUGE 60 card deck. Another person who has never seen a Gearfried disruption deck. Game 1: A long game. Lots of defense and countering. I did not do too much much damage (4K maybe) and he took me down slow. I lost but didn't use my side-board. Game 2: Much shorter. I abused WRA/RotA and all the Gearfried Combos. Game 3: Wow, what to hard game! He had control most of the game. I had a whole field cleared by Mirror Force. He flipped MoD and got it back. I was careful to watch where he set it :) It was MST'd 2 turns later. Here's the final moments to one of the GREATEST comebacks I've ever pulled off. Late in the game. We're both at 8000. He gets his Jinzo out and special Summons Twin Headed Behemoth and equips it with UWS. I am suddenly in DEEP DOO-DOO. I have IO and BwC set. He clears something off with Jinzo and hits me for 3100 with the Behemoth. I draw Sangan and set it. He uses Jinzo to clear and the Behemoth to hit me for 3100 again. I'm now at 1800. I get DDWL. My turn I draw nothing. I set DDWL. He attacks with Jinzo and I take them both out of play. He attacks with the Behemoth and I flip IO negating his UWS. I go from 1800 to 300. He's still at 8000. I draw Cyber Jar and set it. I can't pay for IO so it goes to the grave. He draws, sets another S/T (he has 4 S/T set). He attacks Cyber Jar. I get a Gearfried and a DDWL on the field. He gets MoF and sets it. I got some NICE magics with Cyber. My draw: GAF. I set GAF, play Monster Reborn on another GAF and play Fusion Sword on Gearfried. I use DDWL to attack his facedown MoF. I remove them both. I hit for 7200. He's now at 800, I'm at 300. I set CotH and end my turn. He draws Bait Doll on my CotH, then flips Seven Tools of The Bandit. He tries to chain Barrel Behind the Door to his Seven Tools and give ME the 1000. After I explained that BBtD can't switch a payment and the Judge agreed with me (this guy wasn't buying it at first) The game was over. I won 4 TP4 packs. Everyone was pulling 3 rares in at least 75% of the TP4 packs, but I got all rares in my 5 packs.
