Intro

 

Hello, my name is Jordan, and this is my 1st tournament report for Pojo, I had some people ask me to do it so here I am :).  Me and my uncle got to Comic Town before the place even opened, normally we are the 1st there but there was 8 people allready waiting 5 misn before us lol.  As soon as the managers got there we went in but I sat down becuse there was about 5 new comers who needed to register with UDE and get their ID's but thats ok becuse Andy came into the store just a second ago.  Andy is Rank 1 at the store and im Rank 2.  I needed to test an Exodia deck without most staples (Mirror Force, Raigeki, HFD, etc) so I played him with it and beat him twice with Elma + Gearfried + Library, then he beat me with a Zorc deck.  By then the kids where done but I was dueling a kid named Tommy (Rank 3) with my Exodia deck, he beat me horrably with Lily, then I had to take out my good deck, I had my uncle go sign us up.  after awhile I was just talking and messing around, I got a Don Zaloog for something and I got 2 Nobleman Of Crossout that I needed.. deck modification.  Soon enough we all got our TP packs, the kid next to me opened his and got a Morphing Jar (I got mine last week ^_^) then I opened mine and I let a few cuss words slip in front of kids and their parents.. I hit the Royal Decree... deck modification.  Then the store managers put up the tournament roster to see who was playing who and to get started..

Round 1

 

Wish I could give you info on this, but.. I got a BYE so lol, I just watched my uncle who is also playing in the tourney and went looking for trades for those who got beaten real early, not 2 many people lol, so I just decided to glare at my Royal Decree and drool for a bit, lol.

 

Round 2

 

Jordan   VS  Andrew

 

This wasent as hard as I thought it would be, he went 1st for winning coin toss, set 2 traps and ended his turn, I went, used HFD to kill off a MST and a Magic Cylinder, I summoned Yata and he gave up without a fight.  Duel 2 he lets me go 1st, bad move.  I set Drop Off, MST, and set Witch Of The Black Forest and ended, he drew and I flipped and explained Drop Off, he then set 1 Trap which I used MST when he summoned Kycoo.  He attacked Witch and I searched for.. Yata-Garasu.  He ended, and I drew another Drop Off, so I decided to be nice and not lock him yet,  I played Raigeki and summoned my own Kycoo and attacked for the 1800 and removed his Kycoo from the game, I then ended and flipped drop off, the kid knew he was in trouble on his next turn, but he had no choice but to set a monster and end.  I drew, geez my luck is killin me with joy, a Nobleman Of Crossout, I play it and summon Yata... it was over..

 

BREAK:  I beat my opponents very fast, not intentionally but becuse I dont hold back, but becuse I beat them so fast, I have small breaks between matches, so I took this time to duel whoever wanted to play against me which was like 5 people but I only had enough time for 1, so I took like 3 other rain-checks lol... the duel went my way btw.

 

Round 3

 

Jordan   VS  Michael Kaiser

 

This guy has 4 other family member's over 18 who come with him to duel other than Mike Myers (guy who beat me last week in finals) who is around 15 - 17.  Mike K was about 16-17.  Duel 1 was (not to be offending) kinda easy, he didnt have much of a hand, and I used Confiscation to eliminate the 4- monster he had in his hand.  Since it was me who went 1st I summoned a Spear Dragon into ATK and set Drop Off, Call Of The Haunted, and Magic Cylinder then ended.  I flipped Drop Off and killed a UR card, I forget what it was, but DOH, HFD catches me off guard -_-; he then summons a just drawn Sonic Bird and fetched Zorc.. uh-oh... he then snatches my Spear and plays Contract With The Abyss and Trib's my Spear and his Bird for Zorc, swings for 2700..

darn.. I draw and somehow forgot about my T-Virus so I summon it, call "Fiend" and attack for the 1600, I end and he draws.. but he doesent get anything to use, he must end.. I draw.. Yata-Garasu! (Top Deck?) and lock-him. he was upset but he has a low self-esteem he figured he would lose to me anyways, so we go to duel 2, he goes 1st.  Sets 2 Traps, plays Sonic Bird, gets Shinato and ends turn, I draw Raigeki, I then set Mirror Force and my Imperial Order then I summon Witch Of The Black Forest, I end my turn.  He plays his Shinato's Arc and  Trib's something from hand and his Bird, and I feel kinda funny but sad for him, becuse he attacks, but I need the effect of witch so I take the 2200 and fetch Yata, he ends and I draw Kycoo, I summon Kycoo so I wouldnt take as much damage IF he managed to elude my Mirror Force, he draws, summons some monster I forget what its called and attacks to meet my Mirror Force, he ends and I draw once again.  I drew my Spear Dragon, but I felt risky and took the chance, he had 2 traps down still, and I summoned Yata.. attacked with Yata and Kycoo for the game.. *WHEW*

 

BREAK:  Well I didnt get a break this time, instead I find some interesting news.. Frank (Myers or Kaiser not 2 sure) beat Mike Myers, his nephiew.. since I promised revenge on Mike, he'd have to take a rain-check till next week.  Also news that my uncle lost in the 3rd round.. wow.. my uncle lost to one of the kids.

 

Round 4 (Semi-Finals)

 

Jordan  VS  Frank

 

This 1st round I dont remember 2 much, but all I know is that I didnt draw ANYTHING to help me, 0 monsters and 0 traps.. it ended horrably for me.. worse part is.. he killed me 1000 at a time with Nimble and then added a TROOP DRAGON to make it 1700 a turn

Round 2, I Delinquent Duo'd him, and I got a Fear From The Dark from his hand.. damn.. I set Magic Cylinder and CotH I then play Confiscation and take his last monster stupid Nimble! I set Witch Of The Black Forest and I felt edgy so I set my Mirror Force 2.. and I cant believe I didnt notice his HFD in his hand.. I ended and he played it after drawing.. I fetched T-Virus and he summoned another Fiend and attacked for like 3500- and ended, I drew.. YES! Yata.. I summoned T-Virus and threw something usless from my hand to grave and called Fiend, attacked for 1600, and he didnt stop me.. good sign.. I end.  He draws, sets a monster and ends.. LOL I DREW A Nobleman Of Crossout, and play it, summon Yata and attack for the 2nd duel.

 

 DUEL 3 I drew and he lets me go 1st, nice.. I got a GREAT starting hand I set a Imperial Order and a Drop Off and set Spirit Reaper and ended.  He knew I had drop off lol..

he summons a Giant Germ and attacks, denied my Spirit Reaper.  I drew as he ended and trib'ed for Hades and attacked, nothing to stop me.. good.  Effect denied.  I end, he drews sets a monster and ends, I summon Kycoo into attack mode, play Nobleman and swing for the 4250, direct hit!  I end. He sets another monster and ends and I drew my V. Lord so I sac. Kycoo for it, then reborn Kycoo with Premature.  I attack with Hades, an Archfiend Soldier, hmm, then with V. Lord and Kycoo and then I call Trap, he discards something usless from his deck. I end and he draws and sets another monster.. he ends and I draw nothing to help me, so I attack with Hades and its a Spirit Reaper, now this is questionable so I ask Andy, not only is he Rank 1 at our store, but he's a Class 1 Judge also (not for Comic Town though).  So we ask him about the ruling on it and I didnt know this, but Spirit Reaper survives, darn, my bad.  I end. He draws another monster and sets it, geez.  He ends and I draw JUST what I needed.. Spear Dragon!

Summon it and pray he doesnt have anything to stop me, but his hand was close to a trap as if he was about to flip it, but I took the chance, I set my Kycoo into DEF and set Dark Ruler into DEF and attacked his Spirit Reaper with Spear Dragon, and he didnt have nothing to stop me, it was JUST enough to kill him.. my win.

 

BREAK:  Well I told you I play fast, and that game actually went faster than explained lol, but geez, Andy and Wiley (one of Mike Kaiser and Myers family members) was still in the 3rd Round, man every time I play I end up in the finals for like an hour, but to my suprise, Wiley beat Andy, cool!  Me and Andy are about neck 2 neck with our decks, since me and Andy are the only 2 who have won the tourney since last week (Mike Myers beat my uncle, then Andy, and then ME in the finals >_>).  But my deck is 1 or 2 cards away from it beind exactly as I thought it up, missing a Don Zaloog and thinking about Twin-Headed Behimoth.  Well now Wiley and the kid that beat my uncle has to go at it, this takes a good 30 mins, so I grab a Mountain Dew and duel one of my other aquantances.  Fast Forward lol "|> |>" Wiley beats the kid, and I go play him for Round 5, FINALS.

 

Round 5 (Finals)

 

We roll die, I won the roll I go 1st.  Set Sangan and Imperial Order, ended turn. He drew and played Pot, I Imperialed, no drawing allowed. (unless its me of course, lol).  He set 1 Trap and a NIMBLE NOOO! He attacks and I pick my T-Virus >_> he ends. I draw Delinqent Duo, I play it discard a Giant Germ (woooo) and a Mirror Force?! Now im thinking to myself.. (wth is he up 2..) so I play my only Mystical on his trap and summon my T-Virus and discard Torrential from my hand and call "Beast" and attack for the 1600, then end.  He sets 2 more traps and a monster and ends, that is enough of his hand.  I draw Jinzo, sac the T-Virus and attack the face-down.. DAMN NIMBLE ;x, he brings his last one to the field, and I end.  He draws nothing to help him and ends, I drew a Monster Reborn, I'll save it.  I summon Spear Dragon into attack mode and attack with the 800 and the 2400 and end, he draws and doesent get a monster, I draw V. Lord, sac Spear, attack directly with both and call trap, he has a lil bit of life left, I end.. he draws and plays RAIGEKI!! shoot (hehe glade I saved the Monster Reborn) he ends, I draw a MST, so I use it.. and I hit the.. Imperial Order! doh.. I set Spirit Reaper and end.. he cant pay for Imperial.. but he sets another Trap/Spell.. and ends.. I draw something and play Reborn, get my Jinzo, and attack for Duel 1. 

 

Duel 2 I draw and for the 1st time I get my Royal Decree in my hand ^_^ but no monsters and nothing to help me.. from there on it went down, I lost duel 2 really fast.. 

 

Duel 3..  I can tell this game is mine, I drew Royal Decree again with Jinzo, Vampire Lord, Spirit Reaper and Pot, I go 1st and drew GRACEFUL YAY, play Pot, and then Graceful and discard Jinzo and Vampire Lord from my hand >:-D, I reborn Vampire Lord with Monster Reborn and set Imperial Order and Spirit Reaper.. I ended.. he draws and plays Raigeki.. SWEET Imperial.  He sets 2 traps and a monster and ends, I draw Yata.. I switch Spirit Reaper into attack mode and used Vamp. Lord on face-down, archfiend soldier, and spirit reaper to LP and discards a HFD?! oh yeah, Imperial ;D I ended, he draws a nimble and attacks spirit reaper.. ok.. I drew and HA! Raigeki attack with both and discard something usless from his hand and I called trap, then ended, he drew monster reborn and reborned my Jinzo.. and attacks my Spirit Reaper ouch.  I drew and damn nothing, I set Reaper and Vamp to DEF and end.  He summons a Giant Germ and attacks my V. Lord with Jinzo and ends,  I drew, thank GOD, Dark Hole, summon Yata and attack and locked him for the Tournament win.. *WHEW*

 

By this time im really shaky, but I go to announce my win at the stand and I get 5 TP4 packs.  He just opened a new box for me ^_^

Now.. before the tourney started when he handed out entry packs of TP4 I got the Royal Decree, the kid next to me got the Morphing Jar and Michael Kaiser got Chain Destruction (traded to my uncle for something), so thats 3 foils in 1 box hmmm interesting, 3 foils including Decree and Morphing Jar.. this is odd, but I get 5 packs and get the last 2 commons I needed and 2 of the 4 rares I needed so now I needed Exile Of The Wicked and the TP4 Supers (Sold my Morphing Jar on ebay for $68.99) well then after I left Wiley opened his packs and got Megamorph.. one of the supers I need mwahahaha, oh well.. he wants to trade it so he's bringing it next week.. and for my Decree well.. I can either trade it to my uncle for a Needle Worm or I can keep it, I think I'll keep it but im still thinking.. (He got Needle Worm, and TP1 Mechanicalchaser and a Gate Guardian set for his Royal Decree!!).. well until next time hope you enjoyed my report :D
