TOTAL 40

I thought some of the overused beatdowns and controls would be my problem, and I had traded my side deck off…

ROUND 1 vs. “Brandon Messer” (Little Kid with a Beatdown I think It was)

This one was very short. Since there was no pairing in round one, I got paired with this kid. He didn’t have the staples I don’t think. Either way, I crushed his weak 1800 beatsticks in a couple of turns both duels. Over in about 8 minutes.

My Record After This Fight: 1-0

ROUND 2 vs. “Thomas Wagner” (Control…Like Usual Here)

This guy was taking advantage of the three Vampire Lord thing. Control deck. Yata, the works. First duel he blew me out of the water because he activated Imperial Order turn 2 and I came drawing only spell cards. -_-;;

The next one faired better for me. He got his Imperial Order strategy off, but luckily he paid himself down without me drawing any spell cards for imperial to negate. I barely pulled the win with a few archfiend soldiers.

The third was real close. No Imperial Order, but he suicided P.Turtles at me to summon 2 Vampire Lords to the field. LP tied at 3200 or something like that. I have plenty of fiends in grave, and Necrofears in hand. I draw Raigeki. I Faint. Play it and win.

My Record After This Fight: 2-0

ROUND 3 vs. “Michelle Wagner” (The other guys sister, Amazoness Deck. Nicely built)

The first duel she basically had the element of surprise with her, playing less used combos that made me go off guard.  She creamed me after a few turns of this.

The second, I faired better in. The 2 or so hours of standing and such was wearing at her, she made some stupid mistakes, and that led to me bringing an upset victory

The third was a weird duel. It goes neck and neck for several turns till I wear down her supplies to nothing. Like 1 card in hand, and 1 f/d monster. LP are like 300 for each of us. I have necrofear on field as my only monster. I choose not to attack thinking it was another man eater type monster, which would leave me open for attack and defeat next round. Her turn, she tributes it (a Sinister Serpent) for Jinzo and rapes me with it, I almost had this one too…

My Record After This Fight: 2-1

Intermission: The Matchs After This Sort of fade in my Memory Together, So I’ll Just point out the Highlights and defeats.

ROUND 4 vs. “Guy Who Goes On To Place Like Fifth in Tournament” (Control…)

He basically plays me for a fool. Plays me into supreme Yata Locks each duel. Makes me empty hand and then tears me down…

My Record After This Fight: 2-2

ROUND 5 vs. “A Kid That I Don’t Know How He Got This Far” (Didn’t Really Know)

Refer to Round 1. lol. Its basically a repeat of that, except a different kid. This one with Don Zaloog’s at least.

My Record After This Fight: 3-2

ROUND 6 vs. “A Nicer Older Guy” (A Mixed up Machine/Control)

First duel I escaped his plans, some stuff I noticed though is that he had a TP1 Mech. Chaser in the deck, and also ran Robotic Knights for Limitor Removal. With all the flaws in deck building I bested him.

The second was alittle more challenging. He had went into his side deck and changed basically 15 cards in the deck. Took me a few turns to leanr what he is doing. Too late L

The Third I won. Because I basically knew what strategies the guy pulled, with Scapegoats and such.

My Record After This Fight: 4-2

ROUND 7 vs. “Big Gangster Looking African American” (A Great Beatdown )

This brings up a point. There is obviously a desire for Yu-Gi-Oh within the gangster community. A group of older African Americans packing gangster gear and cussing a lot were at this event. What a site to see. Anyway, it wasn’t Yata, it was straight old-fashion Beatdown. He killed me quite quickly. He killed me last round with Lily at that.

My Record After This Fight: 4-3

ROUND 8 vs. “Matt Something…” (A Beatdown…I Think)

This guy was a joker. Basically telling me everything he was going to do in arrogance. I laughed at his jokes, and after losing to him in 1 duel, laughed as I won the match.

My Record After This Fight: 5-3

ROUND 9 “Sam Colon” (A No Show)

This guy didn’t even show up…

My Record After This Match: 6-3
