Brian's Dimensional Dirt Deck End Zone Layton, Utah August 3, 2004 17 participants 3$ entry fee This is my first tournament report, though I have been reading for quite some time and have always noticed that there is never anything from Utah! Anyway, here goes. Dimensional Dirt Monsters (23) 3x Bazoo 2x Goblin Attack Force 2x The Rock Spirit Exiled Force 3x Nimble Momonga Magical scientist 2x Maurading Captain Fiber Jar Cyber Jar Witch of the Black forest Sangan Tribe infecting Virus D.D. Warrior Lady Guardian Sphinx Jinzo Dark Magician of Chaos Magic (16) 2x Dimension Fusion Painful Choice 3x Mystic Space Typhoon Monster Reborn Raigeki Dark Hole Harpies Feather Duster Heavy Storm Change of Heart Pot of Greed Card Destruction Graceful Charity Mirage of Nightmare Traps (5) Imperial Order 2x Torrential Tribute Magic Cylinder Ring of Destruction Two weeks ago I used a very similar deck without the DMOC, magical scientist, and D.D. warrior lady, and an extra rock spirit as well as a gigantes, I finished second in the tournament due to coming up against a very good opponent running chaos. I tweaked my deck slightly because I had him on the ropes and that traps of all traps mirror force done me in. So, this time I added in Magical scientist and DMOC and took out the rock guys. Worked better, but still needs to be tweaked. 1st place took home 4 packs of AST, second got 3, third got 2 and fourth got 1 Round 1 me vs. a new kid(can't remember his name, sorry) Round 1: I was gratefully lucky as I had three cards I really needed, Bazoo, Dimensional fusion and pot of greed. Played pot of greed and got D.D. warrior lady and MST. On his previos turn he had sat a monster in face down position and a Magic/ trap. My plan was not yet at perfection so I played D.D. and attacked his face down. Cyber jar! I was ecstatic, I drew, put sangan and a nimble on the field and got rock spirit, PAINFUL CHOICE, and Guardian Sphinx in my hand. He got Penguin soldier and 4 M/T. I laid a Torrential Tribute that I drew from my opening hand and ended my turn. Next turn he flipped penguin, returned nimble and sangan to my hand, summoned a monster, can't remember what as I immediately torrentialed. He ended his turn. I started my MST'ing his face down Magic Cylinder. I played Bazoo in attack mode, Painful choiced Jinzo, DMOC, Exiled Force and 2 Bazoo's, then proceeded to remove Jinzo, DMOC and a Bazoo to pump my Bazoo on the field. He was looking confused as to why I was removing those cards. Then I played Dimension Fusion and he asked me what that did, I told him I pay 2000 life points to bring back my monsters removed from play, he looked shocked, realizing what was happening. I then brought back the three monsters and removed D.D. and Exiled Force to pump my other Bazoo. so my field was like this: Bazoo=2500, DMOC 2800, Jinzo=2400, Bazoo=2200=9900 damage. I attacked, gg. he won the second match by dark holing then prematuring his Jinzo and summoning out a beserk gorilla, crappy Jinzo I had Torrential down too. Third match I won barely as I had only 2600 life left but was able to have two of my Bazoo's, DMOC, Jinzo and Exiled removed with a bunch of other monsters in the graveyard due to card destruction. Played Bazoo, removed two bazoo, dmoc, jinzo. Played DF then smacked him. Round 2 Me vs. Round 1 guy's friend. He was running an ALO deck this guy wanted me to trade him my Leviadragon Daedalus before the tournament and I'm gald that I didn't because his one was bad enough. Match 1: I was outmatched completely due to bad drawing and not being able to hurt him due to tornado wall. I had got out a goblin attack force and a Bazoo due to my cyber jar but it was worthless, he proceeded on next turn to tribute Levia Dragon and blow everything up, he did this three times in five turns. gg Match 2: I was able to quickly swarm him on my first attack harpies feather dusting his ALO and tornado wall, changed of heart his Giga Gogigo? (the level 4 one) summoned maurading and Goblin Attack and swarmed=6350. Next run he attacked my Goblin and killed it. Played ALO again! and ended. I summoned Bazoo, pumped him to 2500 and attacked with Maurading and Bazoo, 1200 + 450 leftover damage from Bazoo= 1650=gg. Match 3: I had him too!! he had Levia Dragon, one face down m/t and ALO on the field. I had Maurading and Bazoo, summoned both change of heart his Levia Dragon and attacked, he flipped, mirror force? no. Waboku? no Magic Cylinder? no...he flipped tornado wall...my attack was in vain. I ended placing a bluff face down knowing it was not to be today. His turn he sacs ALO and attacks. gg. After the loss, I was feeling good as I had actually been outsmarted and shook his hand and wished him well in the next round. Then my friend came up and told me he was playing the kid in the next round, I proceeded to tell him of my loss to the tornado wall and we both laughed. Needless to say the kid got trounced by my friend as he has the Envoys in his deck as well as enough hand disruption to make you cry. My friend did go on to win 1st and out of his packs pulled a Blowback Dragon (which we laughed at very loudly as he had just traded to get one before the tourney) and an Emissary of the Afterlife. I proceeded to trade with kids and got another Bazoo, Dark Paladin, Terrorking Archfiend, Twin headed Behemoth, Reload, Amazoness Swords woman, Fiend Megacyber, Ultra Rare Buster Blader and Delinqent Duo for the small price of 25 rares and a giant trunade holo. I also played two people and won Dust tornado and Horn of Heaven. Afterward me and my friend along with another friend went to the mall and ate. Pros: Learning that my deck was still in need of tweaking. Having a good match Making a bunch of killer Trades as I had so many copies of the rares I parted with. Getting Dark Paladin!! Cons: Lost in second round, but hey it happens sometimes. Knowing that I can and have beat my friend and the other people in the tournament many times and not being able to do it this week. Mcdonalds for not giving me the right amount of fries in a large size! Why do they always fill it 3/4 full? Any questions? email Brian at gamesword@netzero.net or zilvermonkey@yahoo.com
