Note: I was sort of nervous going into this tournament. I won the last 3 tournaments here. And was looking for the 4th. Before the Tournament: Ok. Well, after i woke up (watched yugioh and showered) i went to the arena. I was surpised that when i got there, thier was quite a few people there already. So, i went around and talked to a few people mainly Craig and Travis. I watched them duel a couple times. And then i dueld some little kid with my fire deck. It did fairly ok. But we left it at a tie cause i couldn't sit there and go through another duel. So finally I signed up. And while doing that i saw Josh and Mike and sat with them and talked till the tournament started. 1st Round! : Well, the judge named off the list for the 11 and under devision, and then came the 12 and up. After almost all names were called, i was starting to get worried. But my name was called last and was told that i would recieve a bye. So I sat down (but couldn't relax because i wanted to duel) and i watched craig (who runs a burner deck) duel some amature. Nothing much happened. 2nd Round!!: Finally it was time to duel! Well, I get matched up against travis (who i knew ran a burner deck) so i did some side decking for barrel behind the door and trap of board erasers. The First duel was interesting. I was getting scared cause he was taking my life down with a grave keepers servent and a witch. But i attacked his witch with a DDWL and then some how pulled out a Jinzo and won the duel. During the 2nd Duel we both decided to do some side-decking. I took out the BBtD for 2 drop offs. Well, He started off controling the match. He had a des coalla or whatever it is called. But he had no cards in his hand, and i snatch stole it and yata locked him. 3rd Round!: Now i get to play Kristoph. You never know what kind of deck this kid is playing, because he always quits and starts up again. (no offense). But anyways. I yata locked him in the first duel. And in the second duel i was able to get out my jinzo to attack. And after a while we were both top decking. But i got the better hand. And i won. 4th Round!: Now that most of the people were eliminated the tournament style went from round robin to bracket style. My opponent was Mike. Mike is a very good dueler. He was the person I faced off against (in the finals) in the last singles tournament i went to. Mike was barrowing some chaos cards from his friend tommy who wasn't able to attend the tournament. But i was lucky to get a spirit reaper out when he had 3 monsters on the field, and was able to stall and then take control. Second match, i was able to attack and it was either yata lock or i was just beating him down with my 1900 and up monsters. 5th Round!: Next I get the privalage to duel Chris. Chris is an experienced dueler. When I was dueling him he said he had gotten 3rd place in the last few tournaments he had entered. And i thought that was sortof impressive. So on to the dueling. I went first in the first duel. I summoned sangan. and next turn he attacks, and i get a dd warrior lady. And it goes back and forth. I finally win the match by making him top deck, and getting yata out. Next duel. He sets 4 magic/traps on the first turn and one face down card. (this made me nervous) but i can't remember what all they were. But he top decked prety fast because of that. I soon was attacking with jinzo and spirit reaper directly to clear the field. He then draws a night assailent to destroy my Jinzo. So all i have is spirit reaper on the field. He then draws a luster dragon (1900 attack one) and attacks my spirit reaper. Well, i turn my spirt reaper to defense mode. Now my life points are at like 4950 or something. He draws raigeki and plays it. I was really nervous on this next draw. But i draw monster reborn and reborn jinzo and attack for game. 6th Round!: Now, it's the finals. It's me vs Josh. Josh is a friend of mikes who i dueled in the 4th round. He goes first. I don't remember mutch about the first match. But i somehow get down to 4000 something. and then he is able to summon his BLS and attacks my T-IV and then my life points for game. The next duel, he gets out his chaos and attacks directly then uses the effect. I end up at like 600 life points. I get back my sinster serpent, and then draw monster reborn. I reborn his Chaos Emperor. I attack. He is at 3400 life points. He draws and then sets the card. I draw. And then ask if that is on the field or in his hand. It was on the field. I sat there for like (what seemed like an hour) a minute and decided whether to attack or not. But i thought he was bluffing and what are the chances of him drawing anything. So I attack. And it was a stupid Magic Cylinders. And he wins. So, good job to Josh. And good luck in the next tournament where i will be lookin' to play you again. Props: To me for getting 2nd. To Josh for beating me (he doesn't get to do that very often) To the store owner for holding the Tournament To me for getting a wild natures release and freed the brave wanderer out of my packs. Slops: To me for getting 2nd. (and for my streak ending) To MAGIC CYLIDERS!!! who even uses it anyways. Thanks for reading. And my e-mail is jon_the_genius64@hotmail.com
