Hello again. Today was a great day for me. Before the tourney, I was able to pick up a Freed the Brave Wanderer and a pack of LOD at Lincolnway Pawn Shop (great place to buy cards). I pulled a Twin-Headed Behemoth in the pack, which will help my Wind deck I pulled an Airknight Parshath out of my entry pack. Gee, first time I’ve had good luck with packs. I was also able to trade a Skilled Dark Magician for a Different Dimension Dragon. Since we had 10 people, there was a drawing for door prizes and I won. Yay, I got a calculator. That’s all the stuff that happened before the tourney, so here’s my champion ( :-P )deck:

The tournament was underway, and although I was a bit groggy, I did well.

Round 1

Uriah vs. Dana

This guy had a nice Dark Paladin deck but I don’t think he knew just how to use it.

Duel 1: This had him on the defensive immediately after my early Airknights. He was never able to get both off the field.

Duel 2: Much of the same. I whittled his LP to 1600, then dragged on for a good 20 mins, giving him a chance. Unfortunately, he couldn’t do much during that span. I was forced to kill him with Ceasefire or I would have decked out.

I had to avenge Dana’s loss by defeating Uriah. He’s not the most popular guy because of blabbing on about rules because he thinks he’s a judge.

Duel 1: This is too easy. I built an army of huge ATK monsters while Messenger of Peace whittled his LP away. When I was ready I MSTed it and killed him.

Duel 2: He needs a little brain. He could have discarded MoP and did good damage with Magical Marionette but didn’t. He paid the price.

Round 3

This kid was pretty tough. I don’t rightly know exactly what kind of deck he ran; I think it was dragons.

Duel 1: He didn’t get far in this one. I decimated him with Torrential and Parshath.

Duel 2: Not much to say here. These duels went so fast I don’t need to explain. Exact repeat of the first.

Finals

Me vs. Alex

He had a really weird direct damage deck. Very good deck because of the odd traps.

Duel 1: This was like my duel with Uriah. Gravity Bind and Ordeal of a Traveler shut me down until I drew Duster. I then proceeded to summon a mass of monsters and MSTed all else that was in the way.

Duel 2: Repeat of the first.

Today was great. I won the tourney and got off some good trades. Now it’s time for the good ol’ Props and Slops.
