Deck Total: 43

* That morning before the duel, Dolly’s was selling some amazing cards that I didn’t get such as Magic Cylinder, Marauding Captain (5 bucks CDN), Twin Headed Behemoth (I wanted two of them and it was only 2 bucks CDN!), and Mirage of Nightmare (2 bucks as well…) I placed those in my deck and took out my 3 troop dragons (they were fun though)

Still trying to get Delinquent Duo and Snatch Steal…but right now my deck works fine…

The tourney was basically a one-round match elimination and you were only allowed to lose twice to become fully eliminated from the game. After that, you can play for fun with other people. The first 4 people with the highest score advances into the quarter finals and guarantees a prize… so on with the report:

Game 1:

Me vs. Fake Deck Type:

NOTE: Yes tats right, this guy was using all fake cards (i.e., Mirror Force, Call of the Haunted, and a card stuck with a sticker Nobleman of Crossout :P) I laughed at him cause I played with him for fun the other week but since it was an unofficial tourney… I didn’t care.

Basically, he tried to stall me with high defense (2000 def to be exact) cards but it didn’t bother me since I basically cleared the field and ended up summoning my Dark Ruler Hades AND Jinzo :)

Game 2:

Me vs. Stall Deck Type:

At first, he kept setting down 1700 monsters with 1700 attacks but I easily mowed them down. However, during the middle of the match, he began to use Giant Soldier of Stone and Giant Axe Mummy (tsk tsk: my poor Spear Dragon :(  Anywayz, eventually I used Raigeki to clear the field and the placed swords with Reaper on the Nightmare to discard his hands. He eventually retaliated by using Numinous Healer. After swords was gone, I summoned Jinzo and ended the match.

Game 3:

Me vs. Stall Deck Type (AGAIN!):

Oh well, we drew numbers and I had him again. He was pissed because he told me he knew was going to lose. Lol he sure was right.

Game 4:

Me vs. Beatdown Deck:

This was not so tough. I basically used Forceful Sentry and Confiscation in my first turn to look at his hand and send the powerful monster cards back into his deck and graveyard. Then, I special summoned my gilasaurus (lol) and Normal Summoned my Marauding Captain with my GAF in one turn to take massive damage. When he drew, he set a monster face down and ended his turn. During my turn, I had no cards in my hand but when I drew, I got Raigeki :). I used that and attacked his remaining life points.

 Game 5:

Me vs. Zombie/Gravekeeper Deck:

During the first round, he went first and set a monster. Then, I drew a card and used Nobleman of Crossout on his Poison Mummy. He then removes two of them from play. Then, I summoned Spear Dragon and attack directly. Next, he used Swarm of Scarabs on me and attacked my Spear Dragon. When I summoned GAF the next turn, he flipped over Gravity Bind. After that, it semmed like he was stalling until he could get something good. I couldn’t find anything so I used Mirage of Nightmare with Mystical Space Typhoon. When I drew, I eventually found good cards. Later on, after a long game in my opinion, I summoned Jinzo to counter his skull lair and gravity bind (he used it again :( and eventually won the game by topping it off with yata-garasu.

IMPORTANT INCIDENCE TO (@#*(!@&#)  STEALERS:  *Before the next duel, I talked to this 11 year old kid who was selling Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer for 5 dollars. I bargained for 3 but he didn’t want to so I thought screw it.  He also told me that some 6-year old kid actually stole all his best cards while he was trading in MacDonald’s, cards such as Fairy Injection Lily, Jinzo, Magic Cylinder, and a bunch of other super and ultra rares. Apparently, he left all his cards for display on the table while others were huddling around. Then, some little kid pops up, grabs his card, and runs out the exit door… (hmmm) very sad….

NOTE 2: *When I checked the score sheet, I found out that I was the only one that didn’t lose a game and that a few people had lost only once (but if u lose twice, your out for good). Therefore, I was allowed in the semi-finals in which were as follows:

NOTE 3:  The top 3 people (including me) were all using Beatdown/Hand-Dirsuption Decks, so basically all of our decks were fairly the same. However, it was the matter of who would top out the other two players…

Game 6 (quarter finals):

Me vs. Beatdown/Hand-Disruption Deck:

I went first and used Forceful Sentry and chose his GAF. Then I set a monster. After that, he basically kept beating me down very badly until I had 900 life points and a Fiber Jar. I still had a chance but eventually, he went through my def (couldn’t do nothing cause I was drawing such bad cards) Eventually, he took over and used yata-garasu on me.

Game 7 (semi-finals):

* This game I didn’t play because I was the only one undefeated and I lost only once. Therefore, the other two players with the same deck as me faced each other off to advance in the finals against me.

Game 8 (finals – best out of 3 matches):

Me vs. Beatdown/Equip deck:

Match 1:

I used Confiscation and Forceful sentry to look at his hand and took two cards away (to the graveyard and his deck). He only had one monster (Bazoo I think)  so I set a monster. He then draws and began to attack me. However, I had a wobaku. Eventually, I used my Fiber Jar since I was not drawing the cards I want and eventually Yata Locked him using Swords of Revealing Light, Spirit Reaper, and Spear Dragon.

Match 2:

He went first. After 2-3 round later, he pulled an amazing trick the burned through my deck. He used Hayabusa Knight and set 5 trap/magic cards EQUIPPED with Mage Power, and United we Stand (Note: He only had Hayabusa Knight on the field). After that, he tore through my attack positioned GAF and attacked again through my life points (which did like around 6300 life point damage!) This shocked me cause I only had one monster in my hand and that I couldn’t defend (unless I used torrential that was set on the field :) However, I drew Harpie’s Feather Duster *phew… and then used it against him with Gemini Elf. After that, I don’t remember much but I slowly gained my way into winning the second match.

So I won 4 packs (free admission though!) and chose my packs (you could choose any except for the new Pharonic Guardian Packs) I chose Legacy of Darkness and pulled 2 Opticlops, 1 Array of Revealing Light, and a Twin Headed Behemoth (yay now I got 3! :P)
